Lesson 1 (All years) Empty
PostSubject: Lesson 1 (All years)   Lesson 1 (All years) EmptyWed May 10, 2017 12:34 am

Summer had passed rather quickly due to quite a heavy workload she had at the ministry- though that never really dwindled, it was a tough job, but she oddly loved it. But she was back at Hogwarts, and finding that she was really rather enjoying planning her lesson this time. It was more practical than the other ones, a bit of fun. Perpetual Fire was the topic of the day's lesson, it was written in perfectly neat handwriting on the chalk board behind her. Probably not Alchemy's most known methods, but still one that Scarlett rather liked.

She finished setting up for the class, making sure everything they needed for the task were already set up on their desks. Now, all she had to do was wait for the students to arrive. She sat back at her desk, and taking out a piece of parchment, she decided to fill in some paperwork for her other job, just until some students began to show up.

Alchemy was something of a lost art form. Or that was what Gaspard thought. When he'd found out that first years could take that particular class without having to wait, he'd thought he'd been dreaming. Or had had a spell cast on him that simulated the effect. Naturally, he'd signed up for the course. The boy had made sure that he had everything that he was supposed to have with him, or that he might need. Slinging his bag on his back, he walked down the stairs, shoulders hunched forward, his fingers curled tightly around the worn canvas of the shoulder strap.

Only once did he have to pause in his walk and it was because he hadn't been paying attention. His foot went straight through the trick stair causing him to loose his balance. "Waaaaghhhhhh!" he called undignified as he fell and he winced as his knee collided hard with the step below and his bag went flying. Muttering he glared at the stupid step and yanked his foot out angrily. "Why they even have the stupid bloody thing..."

Standing, he brushed himself off feeling as if his face was on fire. Snatching his bag up, he continued along the fourth floor until he got to the designated classroom. Pausing he breathed a few times before entering, gave his professor a tight smile and hurried to a desk where he then opened his bag to see what the damage was.

Lesson 1 (All years) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lesson 1 (All years)   Lesson 1 (All years) EmptySat May 13, 2017 4:12 pm

Another year, more boring classes. Honestly, Jacques wasn't really interested in attending, but of course, he had to. Otherwise he would have no qualifications to go out in to the world with. The idea made him laugh. That a Clement might need to have qualifications was a ludicrous idea, but one his mother had tried to tell him over the summer when she was not fussing with Elenore and Caramarienne.

Heading up to the Fourth Floor, Jacques entered the Alchemy classroom without so much as a glance towards the professor. The only other student was a younger student, whom the Frenchman ignored before sliding in to a free desk. His eyes glanced towards the board for the topic.

Fire.

He was sure many people had an affinity towards fire, but Jacques was not particularly swayed by it. It just was. It would be interesting, though, to see how this would pan out, and if more people would attend the lesson.

Alchemy, another subject taken to fill up her requirements. She'd decided this year, as it was her last year, to broaden her knowledge further. She wasn't quite sure what she wanted to do when her final year finished, only that it would be useful to have a variety of skills up her sleeve. She was somewhat late, so it surprised her to see that when she arrived, only two others had turned up and the class was yet to start.

'Perpetual Fire' being the topic of the day's lesson did spark some sort of interest. Fire, it was fun to some, and terrifying to others. Violet, naturally, liked it. She liked looking at the flames, watching it consume whatever was in its path. It might actually be a lesson she uses later on... Or simply for when she's bored.

She found a seat, more toward the back of the classroom, not bothering to acknowledge anyone there and just waited for class to start.
