| His first lesson with the younger students went pretty well, even if some of them had complained at first about the easy spell, he had them enjoying it at the very end where he challenged all of them to try and beat out their partner at how many doves they could conjure.
For his lesson with the Fifth to Seventh Years, he decided to focus on the slightly harder spells, spells that would prove to his students that he trusted them enough to actually learn them. Whether they would succeed though was another matter entierly.
Standing in front of the blackboard in his classroom, Sean wrote in his cursive writing only two words. Hopefully, from those two words students would be eager to get the lesson started.
Fidelius Charm
He didn't expect much out of this lesson, truthfully he didn't expect any of his students to be able to succeed in this charm but it would give them a good head-start in learning it for the future. Knowing some of his students, like the Richardson children, this charm would prove useful many times.
Placing the chalk down, Sean moved around to sit on his desk, arms loosely crossed over his chest as he waited for the gaggle of students to arrive. |

| Charms had been the top of Dimitri's list when they had been asked to sign up for classes. It was something he had a natural gift for, and enjoyed immensely -- to the point that he practiced it outside of lessons as much as possible to make sure his grades (in Charms, at least) did not suffer.
So, it went without saying that the Ravenclaw made his way down to the third floor from the Tower with enough time to spare when the first Charms lesson was meant to be. He didn't want to be late, and Professor Vasquez likely didn't want to be kept waiting.
Slipping through the door to the day's lesson, Dimitri found himself to be first -- something he hadn't anticipated, despite being there early -- and smiled at the professor. "Good summer, sir?" Dimitri asked politely, moving to a desk in the second row of the classroom, putting his bag down by his feet.
The words on the board registered soon after, and a knowing smile touched the Ravenclaw's lips. This was not going to be an easy class, not by a long stretch of the imagination, but Dimitri was going to do his utmost to try to succeed in the class. After all, he wanted an Outstanding from the professor, and he was going to get one, too. |

| James wasn't one to usually want to do Charms. At his parent's insistence of broadening his knowledge, however, he decided to actually turn up to class, simply hoping that it would actually be, well, rewarding. So he, somewhat reluctantly, made his way down to the Charms classroom.
Walking in, he saw only a Ravenclaw boy who, if he remembered correctly, was in his year. Though he'd never actually spoken to him before. His eyes moved to the board as he found his seat. The fidelius charm. He hadn't a clue what it was, and all he could hope for was that it wasn't hard. Things usually came rather easily to James, so when it was difficult, he was often easily deterred. He probably should have read ahead or something like that. Oh well, it was far too late for that now. Instead, he decided to just wait for the teacher to begin teaching. |

| As Sean waited for the last of his students to arrive, he took note of the eager looks that most students wore the moment they read the words on the board. It seemed that doing the Fidelius Charm was the right idea and he just knew that this class would be mainly based on theory for most of the children there.
As soon as the bell rang, he shut the door with a casual flick of his wrist before he slipped off his desk and stood in front of the class with his feet shoulder-width apart and a smirk on his lips. "Good afternoon everyone, it's nice to see many of you back." He slowly walked through the class, keeping his steps slow and casual. "As many of you would've already noticed, on the board we have the name of the charm that we will be focusing on today."
Turning to face the children again, Sean slowly looked over the students. "Now then, who can tell me what the Fidelius Charm is?" |

| As Professor Vasquez made a start on the lesson, Dimitri's attention honed in on the young professor. He knew his stuff, and he was much more interesting than the last professor who'd been teaching, so Dimitri's respect was much higher for the man before him than the previous professor.
The question that was posed made Dimitri smile to himself. Anyone who knew what the charm did knew that today's lesson was going to be hard, but one that Dimitri definitely found an interesting one. Waiting for a moment or two to see if anyone would answer, Dimitri raised his hand to answer.
"The Fidelius Charm is a very complex strain of magic that allows the caster to hide a secret with someone they trust -- in that person's soul -- the use of the charm is therefore only used in extreme cases. I believe you can use it to hide the identity of property, which would then make it unplottable... I'm not sure... but I think you can only use it on locations." Dimitri explained, though by the end of the sentence his confidence was dying away. |
