Charms Lesson Two - Fifth Through to Seventh Years

Muffilato, the word was written in neat, slanted writing on the blackboard with a single tap of his wand before he sat down at his desk.

Going with the theme of introducing his older years to useful spells in the real world, Sean decided to go for the most useful if not understand spell in the world. It could be said that the Muffilato spell was useless however if one knew how to cast it perfectly, the would be able to charm their room from being able to be eavesdropped on. Some people, if they were strong enough magically, could also charm their whole house though there are fewer people capable of doing that than anything else.

Flicking through a charms text, Sean casually sat in his classroom, his eyes mainly focused on the words before him then the class that was slowly filling up. That's not to say he wasn't paying attention, because he was, however since it was still a few minutes to the lesson he felt no need to focus on his students just yet.

Three months and still she was struggling to find the proper way to class. She figured it had something to do with directions; she was too rash, too annoyed and took left turns whenever in doubt. It had been a moment of weakness when she had written her brother and expressed her concerns. In turn, he sent her a map and clear directions knowing her short comings. At first she had dismissed it, but as the third month hit and she was still easily confused, she began to use it religiously.

As she pushed the door open it was the first time she found this place without looking at it. She bit back a grin at the thought and found the table closes to the exit. It was at this time that she took advantage of the situation and studied him. She knew nothing, but she assumed that despite the pretty face, he'd take charms seriously.

Elenore was not looking forward to the Winter holidays. With her sixteen birthday coming up in the month, she just knew there was going to be a Ball done in her honour. Then, of course, there was the usual Clement Christmas celebrations that her parents threw themselves in to wholeheartedly, inviting people from all over the world to enjoy the festive season with false smiles.

She did not like it, for as her Grandmere had taught her, these Balls were done for one reason and one reason alone... to marry her off, as a trophy wife, because of her last name.

Pushing such thoughts from her mind, Elenore hurried along to Charms at a pace befitting the Clement witch. Pushing the door open carefully, Elenore gave the professor a small smile to say hello, before looking around the room for a seat. Normally, she might have moved to sit on her own, but upon finding Tess in the room, Elenore's smile lit up just a little bit. Moving to the Slytherin witch's side, Elenore motioned to the seat beside her. "May I?" She asked, waiting for confirmation before she seated herself and got ready for the lesson.

Dimitri had hurried up the stair after breakfast that morning, knowing that his favourite lesson was waiting for them. The first lesson had been a good subject, but they hadn't had a good opportunity to put the spell in to practice. However, Dimitri could understand why they might not have moved on to that, after all, making a place secret to only himself and the other person in the room in the previous lesson was not really something the Ravenclaw had wanted to do.

Slipping through the door, Dimitri smiled warmly at the professor. "Morning, Professor Vasquez!" He greeted, before taking in the other two people in the room. Purebloods, much like himself. "Ladies," He acknowledged with a small inclination of his head, before the boy moved to take up the seats behind the two girls.

Well, this was a win, win, not only was it his favourite lesson, but he also had some very good company, too!

Sasha wasn't really much of herself today since yeah she wasn't really cheerful her who people happened to see most of her days. Today she didn't really feel like smiling. She had one of those sad days in her life where she wanted to be left alone but she still needed to attend to classes. She wasn't sick or anything like that.

She walked into the Charms classroom and greeted the professor. Then after it was done she took a seat somewhere where was still empty seat. To be honest she didn't really sit near anyone. She sat so far away as she could in the back row. She was not very social probably today.

She just hoped school day will finish soon and she could go back to do her own things and maybe find a way how to cheer up herself. When she looked up the board and saw words there then she wasn't sure what Charm it was. She wasn't really into looking it up too. She will learn when someone is saying what it is.

Charms was boring as usual. Cammie didn’t really understand the lesson as it was just a big blur to her. She tried understanding it but she can’t really apprehend on today’s topic.

To past time, she took out her notebook and started doodling hoping that class would end a lot sooner. She wouldn’t know what else to do as she was really really bored. She looked around the room and saw a girl with an empty seat next to her. She immediately packed all her stuff in her bag and decided to make a new friend because she knows she can't be the social outcast anymore.

“Okay i can do this.” Cammie thought. She discreetly walked to the seat next to the girl sitting alone in the back row. Cammie wanted to make a person smile as it was the first step in making a friend. As she sat down next to the girl, the girl looked at me and all Cammie could say was "Hi name's Cammie but people call me Cam what's your name?" with a smile on her face.

Sasha was just thinking there and didn't really pay attention what was going on around her. She just tried not to be noticed much there today. She just wasn't in the good mood so she tried not to stand out there. But still, someone had to come and talk with her.

She looked over the person and didn't really show any emotions on her face right now. She wasn't sure if she should be friendly as she always is or just ignore her. The girl decided to try out the first option, being friendly.

"Hey, Cam. My name is Sasha," she said and tried to smile a bit too. It was good to get to know someone new even if Sasha was sure she had seen girl somewhere before. Not just in classes. "It's nice to meet you, Cam," she added there. "Are you Hufflepuff?" she asked even a question. The girl managed to lift her spirit a little bit.

“Indeed i am,you might see me lurking around the common room…”Cammie told her. With her hand behind her neck smiling nervously.Cammie has potentially made a new friend in this boring class. She looked at Sasha and she felt something was off with her but decided not to push it as she didn’t want to offend her peer.

Cammie didn’t even pay attention in the class because she wants to know more about Sasha. “Well i hope you don’t mind me sitting next to you…” Cammie spoke with confidence. Well at least she hopes Sasha didn’t mind at least.

Even though it was a boring class, Cammie knew that the house needed points and Cammie is willing to go all out. But then again Charms wasn't really her forte but she planned to try.

Cammie asked her acquaintance that's sitting next to her and said "Please tell me you know what he's talking about I'm stuck" with a nervous grin on her face.

Sasha wasn't exactly sure how she felt about talking with Cammie right now. At least she helped her to focus on something else than trying to figure out how she will spend her Winter holiday later on. She didn't really enjoy having them much. She would rather stay at school but then again she won't have anything to do here too. So she just goes home and sees if she can spend at least some days with her friends back home.

"It's fine that you did sit here. I don't really mind it," Sasha said with a small smile on her face. She didn't really mind it now once she was there already. She wasn't really someone who pushes people away even if she doesn't feel like talking much. She just is always so friendly towards everyone, no matter what she is really going on in her mind.

"I think yeah I know what it's about if I remember correctly," she said with a small smile. "You wanna know now or wait until class starts?" she asked then just in case before she tells what this charm on board is about.

Charms, despite being a weak-sounding class, was by far the most useful, at least that was Sean's thought. It was a diverse subject that covered a variety of spells, not just ones that were more for fun. Even with the most basic of spells, you could do the greatest of things.

It was the reason why he had chosen the Muffilato spell for that day's lesson; a spell that sounded pretty weak but one that Sean would make out to be the most useful.

"Good afternoon class." Sean stood up from his chair as he waved his wand at the door and shut it, his wand going back into the holster on his wrist as he walked around the desk to look at his students, his face set in an impassive mask as he looked at each of the children seated at the desk.

"If any of you noticed, the topic for today is the Muffilato spell." He stepped aside slightly to make sure the board could be seen. "Can anyone tell me anything about it? The wand movement? The colour of the spell?
When was it created? What it's used for?"
