Mimosa wasn't entirely sure when it happened, but when Jacques reached och to ehr to mimic the movement with the vermilion powder, things felt... alright. Of course, things were always alright when her Jacques were around but for just a moment, it felt as if all the Gods were real, and they were watching her. The little girl averted her eyes from Jacques, taking his compliment with good grace before they were both on their feet again. Before they left, Mimosa reached out into a small magically preserved Thaal and pinched of a small bit of sweet from a lump.
"Here," she offered it to Jacques, holding the morsel to his lips. "I told you we get sweets after." Taking a small bite for herself too, the brunette declared the prayers over and walked back to the lip of the gazebo where they had left their shoes. Removing their headwear, Mimosa placed them carefully back on the shelf before skipping out into the gardens once more.
Their next destination was the petting zoo, where Mimosa had too much fun introducing the Clement heir to all the baby goats and lambs. The child even explained that due to cultural differences, they did not keep pigs or piglets. And that cows were thought to be holy and so were always treated with respect.
The sun had almost sunk by the time they made their way back into the house and Aunt Drishti had already send word with the servants that their guest be made to feel at home. A suite had been prepared for Jacques to the left of the third level where Mimosa immediately followed him to much to the surprise and shock of the servants.
Both of them descended for diner with Uncle Mukesh who, if he found their arrival together odd, made no note of it. His son Akash however was not so subtle. Throughout the meal he kept giving Mimosa almost angry glances, as if she had done something wrong. Not one to notice these things, the child was only clued in when he stubbornly refused to pass her the sugar with their after dinner chai.
As Jacques was escorting a sleepy Mimosa up to her own room, she mumbled tiredly of her concerns. "I think Akash is mad at me, though I don't know why." And in a few minutes, it didn't really matter as she was gently laid down and was fast asleep.
