CLASS: Fall Term -- Flying (Mimosa & Dominique)

Dominique was sitting in the Gryffindor common room. All she was doing was just relaxing before she would go start on some school work. Or she was going to write a letter to her mom or Victoria. But when she saw Mimosa come in. She knew that her best friend needed her. Because they only thing she heard her say was Dominique glad to see you and we are going flying."

" Glad to see you too Mimosa and sure we can go flying." Even though she didn't play quidditch she still loves having her broom. And it was time that she could spend with her best friend. And she could stop worrying about everything. She was smiling as she was glad that they were going to be spending more time together. " So what brings this up? Not that I don't mind because I love spending time with you."

" Glad to see you too Mimosa and sure we can go flying."

"Good," the Slytherin teen replied, linking hands with her friend and steering her toward the moving staircase. Mimosa wasn't at all surprised that the Gryffindor was planning not to attend, she was a great flyer after all and didn't need the class. But she was going to come with Mimosa anyway, because that's what friends did.

" So what brings this up? Not that I don't mind because I love spending time with you."

"Al the boys in this school are going gaga over the new instructor," Mimosa explained, knowing that the other brunette didn't always keep up with the school gossip. "The Malaysian Seeker, Kiranjeet Kaur. I don't know why, she isn't that great. But everybody's flocking to her class like she's giving out bonbons." It wasn't normal for Mimosa to be this annoyed but the rumors about Kiranjeet and her Jacques had set the young witch on edge.

"So I figured we'd go see what all the fuss is about. We don't need flying lessons so we can just see what she's like," this was said a little too casually as the girls made their way through the entrance hall and then out of the castle doors. The morning was crisp and the slight wind tugged at Mimosa's high ponytail. God flying weather, she noted grudgingly as they approached the large group of students already gathered around the Quidditch star.

"So please divide yourself into groups according to your ability," the Seeker's sweet voice resounded, reminding Mimosa that they were late. It wasn't too much a problem though as Gaspard automatically moved to Mimosa's side, catching her up before pulling her and Dominique into the latter group.

"We have to do some kind of obstacle course I guess," Mimosa conveyed to the Gryffindor before raising her hand, notably devoid of a wand.

"Accio!" the witch called out and two seconds later, her new broom was firmly in her hand.

Dominique smiled as her best friend grabbed her and was leading her away. She knew that she would always be there for Mimosa. This was going to be a quick fly and something to get her mind off things. It would help her not to think about her family drama. Her dad is in prison and her mom was always busy with something. So spending time with Mimosa would help. But she was curious why she wanted to go. Dominique was sure that flying class was happening. And she knew neither witch needed it.

Dominique knew that Mimosa got along with all the professors. So this one was different as she was talking about the new flying professor. She then started to giggle as she was walking as Mimosa was telling her how the boys were acting. " I think it is because she is a professional quidditch player and the fact she is a female." She was doing her best to support her friend. Dominique then heard the professor saying to divide into groups. As she knew that they were late. Dominique wasn't even going to do this, but it was for Mimosa.

She then looked as Gaspard was there and went to Mimosa for the group. And Mimosa grabbed her which she suspected that she would do that. "It seemed like there were going to do some obstacles." This was going to be easy which Dominique was sure that it wasn't going to be hard. As this was a class first years would take. Dominique watched as Mimosa summoned her broom which she did the same. " Accio broom." That is when she looked at Mimosa broom. " Is that a new one?" Dominique now had her broom in her hand and was ready to start the class.

" Is that a new one?"

"Yup,' Mimosa grinned, adding "It's much better than what the pros have, this one was custom made for me - one of a kind." Dominique must have heard by now she the Slytherin had changed positions to Seeker on the House team, and Squid Boy had been right, she had the bestest broom for that.

"Let's see what this can do," she giggled before mounting the broom and zooming off towards the obstacle course set up for the more experienced flyers.

To Mimosa and her broom, it was no trouble at all. The course was designed to dodge, weave and spiral at different altitudes and the young brunette had to do almost nothing at all, sitting back and enjoying the ride as her vehicle intuitively guided her through each hurdle seamlessly. If there had been any doubt as to the superiority of her broom, it was completely erased as she cleared the course in record time.

Her friends took a little longer but in the end they managed to course too.

And the rest of the class Mimosa spent watching the international sports star, wondering what it was about her that anyone - especially her Jacques - would find interesting.

Dominique was grinning as that it looked awesome. She knew that her friend was always getting really great brooms. She knew that her mom could afford them but she would rather spend it something else. " Wow, that is so cool!" Dominique also knew that she was on her house quidditch team. As she would go cheer her on.

Dominique then watched as her friend took off and started the course. .And she knew that she wouldn't have any problem. Then she knew that it was going to be her turn. She was cheering for her friend. Now it was her time and she knew that there was a chance that she could be rusty. As she only used her broom to take normal flies. " Ok, I think that I got this!" Dominique was grinning as she mounted her broom. She then pushed off and started to go through it. And she wasn't having a problem.

She knew that she was slower than Mimosa. But she wasn't going to let that bother her. As they had two different brooms. Dominique still didn't know why Mimosa asked her to go to flying class. Not that it really didn't bother her. She was just glad to help a friend out.
