Finley was nervous about Transfiguration. He hadn't forgotten the words of their professor in the introductory lesson that he'd attended the year before. The fact they would be working a lot on the practical application of Transfiguration meant he felt a little sick with nerves.
But what had made it worse was seeing the split of the classes.
There would be no Naomi in the class to keep him calm. She wouldn't be there to help. Merlin, there wasn't even going to be Madison, who would at least get him out of a bad situation.
So for once in his life, Finley had dragged his feet on the way to a class, and when he'd arrived at the door to the class, he'd hesitated. He could turn around and just not go to class. No one would notice he hadn't attended, would they? Well, unless the professor had the register. Would she give him a detention if he didn't show?
Finley couldn't risk it.
Opening the door carefully, Finley slipped in to the room, giving a small smile towards the professor as he nervously made his way to the second row of the class. Sitting down, Finley took out his wand and his textbook, ignoring the shake in his hands. He was going to be okay, Professor Hollands wasn't like their old Charms Professor. She wasn't going to call him out.
He hoped.
