| Kate had ended the sentence she was writing with a simple and loud click. This was going to be an interesting day. Using her wand, she moved books from the cupboard and placed one on each desk. She had notifications posted in each common room instructing students not bring their usual text books. This lesson was to be one of the greatest she had ever known. On the board was written neatly, Witch Burning in the Fourteenth Century.
She moved back to the front of the room as she was waiting anxiously for the students to come in. There was a slight tapping on the window, and she looked to see her owl, Corvus. She practically leaped up and let the Barn Owl in. It hooted affectionately and dropped the letter it was carrying. She opened it as the bird situated itself on her shoulder.
Kate,
Everything is fine, I'm settling in at St. Mungos well. Good luck to your new job.
Love, Dad.
Smiling as she folded the small piece of parchment up, she sat on the edge of her desk, waiting patiently for the students to come in and start their lesson on Witch Burnings. |

| Jacques knew history well. It would be very difficult to come from such a powerful, history filled family and not know a lot about it. However, his downfall in this classroom would likely be the fact they would be studying English history rather than French. He knew that the French history revolved mostly around his family.
The way his great-great-great Grandfather, Thomas Clement, had married a witch that brought power with the common people - a Pureblood witch, of course, but one that had fallen from grace (or so the history books told it) - the way they had revolutionized France, to come out on top as the single family with power.
Power, that was unrivaled.
Stepping in to the classroom, Jacques couldn't help but look smug as he took a seat in the middle of the classroom. History wasn't ever going to be as spectacular as the Clement line, but it was still interesting in itself. ________________________________________________ | |

| Hearing that a new professor had been selected for the History of Magic professor made Finley both excited and more nervous than normal. Naomi and he had speculated about who was taking the position until someone had ruined their fun and explained that it was a witch, and not another ghost like there had been many years ago.
Of course, that was probably better, but their game had been fun.
Not that it mattered.
Hurrying to the classroom with Naomi at his side, Finley slipped in to the room, and moved to the front of the room. A shy smile was sent in the professor's direction, as Finley rarely greeted the professors because of his stutter. Sitting down, Finley took out his books and looked to his best friend, motioning to the board where the topic for the day was shown.
"D-did you read t-this chapter yet?" He asked her softly, because he had. |

| History of Magic was not Aiden's strongest class. It was a subject that he knew he wouldn't do next year but he did enjoy it. It was fun to learn about the history, especially things that his siblings didn't teach him when he was younger.
When he heard that they didn't need to bring their books into the class, he wondered why that was. After all they needed their books for the lesson didn't they? But when he arrived in class to find a book on his desk and the words 'Witch Burning in the Fourteenth Century' he had to say he was intrugied and pretty much looking forward to this lesson.
His siblings hadn't taught him this and he figured it would be a pretty good lesson, especially since he had a slight idea of the witch burnings but nothing much. Sitting at his desk, he pulled out his parchment, ink well and quill and sat them on the desk to await for the start of the lesson. |

| Honestly, Venus could have cared less about this class. History was definitely not her subject, and she was most likely going too fail it as well. But she could always feet a Ravenclaw tutor sling the way, but according to what she has heard, Hogwarts had been without a history professor for a while. She was curious to see how this new professor would deal with a student like her.
Upon entering, abuse flashed a simple smile in the professor's diffraction. "Hello Professor, it's nice to have you here." She said taking her seat in the back of the classroom. Satisfied with her gender happiness, she slumped down in her seat, hopping this class would end. She cat as flame tho the board to find that the roof was witch burning. That couldn't be ship bad, this claws could actually capture her attention after all. But only time would, and could tell. |

| Four or five. That's how many she had guessed would show up, and did.Nodding, she stood from her position and introduced herself. "Hello, i know its a small number, but i expect more to come in late." She paused, thinking of her next words. "I'm Professor Juvenca, the new History of Magic professor, and also Head of Ravenclaw in case you didn't know." She added casting a glance at the Ravenclaw Students in the room. She flicked her wand and a small wooden figure jumped out of her desk.
She waved it and it turned into a witch on a stake, apparently burning but laughing. Satisfied with her once in a blue moon transfiguration, she enlarged it for the class to see it clearly. "Wendelin the Weird. Can anybody tell me who she is?" She asked then remembered the books. "Its on page 74 if you don't know." The figure began laughing hysterically, as if enjoying being burned. |

| Ivan was soooo late. So so late. But that was the usual, and he had gotten used to being late enough to not care about whether or not he would even show up at all. He had completely missed the first flying lesson, and was getting along just fine in the current lesson. So why did he have to show up at all? But, they actually started a class that he actually would enjoy. History. Ivan enjoyed learning about where he came from and his blood line. And wizarding history.
That was really fascinating, and he loved hearing the stories about the founders, and Harry Potter was his favorite. And since this was wizarding history, and not boring muggle history, he was just really interested in it. So he found himself looking at the poster in the Gryffindor common room and found himself bouncing up and down in excitement. Ivan skipped down to the classroom, and stopped dead when he saw the teacher. Her hair was a fiery read and she had deep blue eyes. Ivan was glad he signed up for this class. But, he could say that he wouldn't be paying attention at all. |

| ((Mason had been here the entire time))
Mason sat at his desk, with his books, ready for class to start. He had his wand nearby; he wasn't going to lie, Magical History wasn't his favorite class. DADA and Charms were his two favorite- however, he did not mind this class at all. Learning about great wizards and witches was fun to do, he just much rather been using his wand to cast a spell on one of his buddies. He adjusted his glasses, getting his quill and ink ready when the teacher, Professor Juvenca, the Ravenclaw head. As a Hufflepuff, he could tell he probably wouldn't be favored in this class.
She asked about Wendelin the Weird. He remembered reading about her, and took a second to gather the information in his mind. He raised his hand. "She was a witch in the Middle Ages who was caught a lot of times by witch hunters. She enjoyed burning herself I'm pretty sure, and she used the, oh, what is it.....Flame Freezing Charm against the flames of the witch hunters. And well, she enjoyed it, like I said." |

| ((We'll pretend Alberi was here as well.))
Alberi doubted that he would like this subject. Even at his muggle school the boy had a dislike for history. It was not until they learned Ancient history that he did well but it was most likely the only part that he actually liked. The only way that he most likely managed to pass with an A was that he was being his ambitious self and spent more time memorizing the book so he could do well. When he learned that he had to learn Wizard history now, it wasn't taken with much happiness. Or any at all, really.
Soon they began to lesson. Alberi watched slightly amazed at the figure which seemed to self burn itself. The professor thenasked them for Wendelin the Weird. Alberi had actually remembered her and it was only because she was crazy enough to get herself caught 47 times. It was probably the only thing he had remembered rather quickly. So, of course, he thought it well to show what he had learned. "Wendelin the Weird had allowed her self to be caught at least 47 times. She often disguised herself in different ways." satisfied, he waited for someone else to continue speaking. |

| ((Because Jake is awesome, Naomi tagged along with Finley in his post and has also been here this whole time. )) Naomi was disappointed that their teacher wouldn't be a ghost (after all, who better to teach history than someone who lived it?), but she was happy that the subject had been revived nonetheless. It was always interesting to learn about the past and anyway, the professor was also the new Head of Ravenclaw, so she had high hopes that she and Finley would like the woman. Following Finley to the front, Naomi also sent the professor a nod of greeting. Head of Ravenclaw or not, she was still a new person and not someone Naomi was comfortable around yet. "I skimmed it," Naomi whispered in reply to Finley's question. "I didn't have time to go over it in depth, but I know the basics." Before they had a chance to continue their conversation, class started and Professor Juvenca began asking questions about Wendelin the Weird. Naomi knew the bare bones of her story, but didn't speak up with details as she couldn't remember wether the witch had been caught 47 times or 43. |
