Kate had heard that Professor Newbury had to leave due to injury, but no one had really known why. She had meant to ask the headmaster, but she thought better of it. Glancing around the classroom, she nodded her head only once. Her mind was elsewhere, as she raised her wand and the chalk was writing the day's lesson on the board. She thought a more recent show of events would distract the children for the time being, as they might need a rest from other subjects. Slowly she turned and saw what was written. The Fall of the Dark Lord.

She frowned, then shrugged her shoulders, why should they know? Maybe it was because she had suspicions of her own and something told her that history repeats itself, and she didn't want that to even begin. she leaned up against her desk, and waited for the students to come in, as she cleared her head. She was at Hogwarts, everything would be fine.

Rolling out of bed for History of Magic was difficult to say the least. And, it had taken Alexander a whole hour to do so. Leaving him just five minutes to get dressed and up to the first floor for the class. Which, was only just doable for the Cavendish heir, but he slipped through the door, being the first there.

Frowning because this rarely happened, Alexander looked towards the professor, deciding he was in the right place, and heading to the back of the room. Taking out his textbook (not a pen or a notebook) Alexander took to looking out the window.

He'd always preferred being outside, but at the moment, he knew he had to try and make it look like he was trying. After all, his O.W.L.S. were fast approaching, and to say he wasn't exactly ready for the would be a huge understatement.

Naomi headed to History of Magic with Finley, still a little distracted because of Jake's absence. She hoped he was alright. (She didn't dare think the word alive, though it was buzzing in the back of her brain. She was sure they would have informed the students if one of their professors had died.)

Still, class was class and she had to be prepared to learn, so she and her best friend sat in the front row and she pulled out her textbook, some parchment, and a pencil, doodling aimlessly on the scrap of parchment.

When Naomi realized that she was drawing the scene from her vision, she crumpled the paper into a ball, dropping it in her bag. If she'd known how, she probably would have set it on fire. Instead, she began purposefully drawing a still life of the classroom around her as she waited for Professor Juvenca to begin.

Venus wasn't too fond of returning to History of Magic due to the fact that Professor Juvenca had set them all on fire unexpectedly. But she had better things to occupy her thoughts for right now. She had caught a rumor that Professor Newbury was gone, and the Headmaster was covering his classes. This raised her suspicions, who else could be gone that she and her classmates didn't know about.

"Morning, Professor Juvenca." She smiled, her tone hinting a small amount of annoyance. She still wasn't pleased with her, and she wasn't sure why her feet had lead her to the lesson. She took her seat in the middle though and began pulling her books out, looking at the subject that they would be discussing. The Fall of the Dark Lord. Was there some kind of link between her lesson and the reason of Professor Newbury's disappearance? Was there something she knew that they didn't? It all became very confusing as she gave up and continued on with what she had been doing to start with.

Alberi felt he was one of the only ones not over reacting over the absence over one teacher. He was sure that Professor Newbury was fine. Or would be. He was a good wizard, after all, or he wouldn't be teaching at Hogwarts. Alberi was sure he'd appear at the end of the year, in worst case scenario he would be back at the beginning of the next year. Couldn't everyone just calm down, they have more important things to worry about, after all.

The boy entered the classroom and looked at the board. The fall of the Dark Lord? That must have been that Voldemort guy from a few years back. Alberi had gotten across the name Harry Potter in one of his books and was interested in him. They did have one thing in common - both of them could have been Slytherin but gave been put in Gryffindor. Yet it was for different reasons. Harry didn't want Slytherin. Alberi was told by the sorting hat that he would learn something here (though Alberi didn't learn something different to what he would learn had he been in another house). The boy-who-lived had an easy to remember story. He didn't get the fuse though. Surely if he did not have his friends he wouldn't have been so prised for living? Honestly Alberi didn't know what to think. He wondered what had happened from him now. It wasn't written in the library book he had taken, after all.

After the last lesson with the magic being used on them, Finley had been slightly unsettled by the professor. But he didn't speak out about it. Following Naomi in to the class a little hesitantly, Finley took up the seat beside her, busying himself with getting his stuff ready so that he didn't have to look towards the professor.

It was as he finished getting his work out, that Finley noticed what Naomi was doing and pursed his lips slightly. For a moment he thought of being quiet, but the Ravenclaw decided against it. Instead, he gave the witch beside him a small nudge. "H-He'll be o-okay." Finley tried to reassure Naomi, though he knew no more than she did on the matter.

He was quite sure, though, that if something really bad had happened, they would have been told about it.

Silas woke up that morning with an ache in his chest. This wasn't new. He often woke up after spending a night with Kiyoko in his dreams; he found that even though she was gone, she was surrounding all his surroundings. The kind of love he felt for her was the kind in the movies and more. It was deeper and he felt it harsher and harder than any other emotion. This sort of longing was incomparable, he thought lousily as he dressed himself. His first class was History of Magic and he was silently excited for that. He didn't have too many physically strenuous classes for the day and with that in mind he exited the boy's dormitory, giving nods to his few study friends. He didn't mind not being the most popular boy; it was no great offense to him.

With his shoulder bag on and his picture of Kiyoko in his backpocket he took off. Once in the classroom he took out his notebook and his quill and settled into his seat with ease as his eyes studied the textbook, committing each fact to memory for later use.

Kate smiled as the students each walked in. Nodding her head in greetings to each of them, glancing at the clock over the door, she closed the door with a simple wave of her wand. She took to observing the board for a second, "The Fall of the Dark Lord. one of the greatest history lesson in the century. In today's time at least. The wizard who took down the Dark Lord, Harry Potter, survived the Killing Curse." She paused once more. "Who can tell me, Why did he survive the Killing Curse that everyone lost their lives to?" She asked.

It was an easy question, but she hoped it would get their brains moving. As it was the last lesson before Final Exams, and she was confident they would be fine, but one always had doubts. She waited for an answer, and in the process pulled her hair back into a pony tail. I could get quite warm when the door was closed and she was sure the students could feel it. She opened a window while waiting.

Finley would most certainly have been more than content on staying quiet in this lesson, but of course, what he wanted and what happened didn't always correlate. Which, perhaps, annoyed the Ravenclaw more than anything. Especially in this lesson, because the professor was not one he was at all comfortable with.

Raising his hand as the question remained unanswered, Finley took a deep breath to try to control his growing fear of the witch, waiting to be called upon. Once he was, Finley cast a sideways glance at Naomi, making sure his support was still there, before he spoke.

"It's s-said..." Finley started, his nerves peaking as he took a moment to swallow and concentrate once more. "That l-love can beat t-the Killing C-Curse." The Ravenclaw answered, clasping his hands together in an attempt to settle himself. "H-Harry Potter's mum s-saved him w-with her l-love." He concluded, looking hopefully towards the professor to be told he was right in that moment.

"Yes, that is correct." She praised. She was tired and needed the bell to ring, as her last lesson was continuing. Frowning, she paused taking a small breath to continue to the lesson, only to be interrupted by the bell that had gratefully sounded. She motioned to the door with her wand, the heavy door opening.

"Stay out of trouble." She said as the students walked out of her classroom.
