August had brought Jake's birthday round quicker than anticipated. Well, Jake wasn't waiting in anticipation for his birthday, he was still quite uninterested in celebrating his birthday, but the women in his life refused to let him ignore it. Victoria had, in usual fashion, made too much of a fuss for his birthday. Coming over to England with his parents the day before his twenty-second birthday with presents and a cake.

The small selection of sweets and new broom maintenance kit from Victoria had been a nice change from the boxers and socks his parents had gotten him as well as a couple of new shirts for work. Practical gifts more than anything.

Jake and Marilyn had entertained his parents for the evening, going out for a meal that his parents insisted paying for until they had finally gone home. Jake had flopped on to the bed after that, quite tired from the antics with his family. He'd murmured something about there not being too much fuss the next day to Marilyn, but whether she had heard, Jake didn't know.

Jake had fallen asleep quite soon after, only waking up when Marilyn woke him in the special manner he liked on these kind of days. Holding the witch close after, Jake kissed Marilyn gently, holding her close and murmuring that he loved her. It was barely coherent, but it was understandable enough. Resting back in to the pillow, Jake closed his eyes, a small smile playing on his lips.

This was all he needed for his birthday, just Marilyn.

Although Marilyn was against celebrating his birthday before it actually happened, thinking it best to celebrate with his family afterwards, the American Newbury's didn't share her superstitions. (However she refused to congratulate him before midnight, no matter what they said, it was just bad luck.) Luckily it went over well and on his birthday morning she awoke early, taking a moment to watch him sleeping peacefully before commencing with his 'wake-up-call' they were both fond of.

Her eyes stayed on his face the entire time, relishing the way he came so beautifully undone for her, sleep leaving him no time for filters or defences. Which waswhat she liked best about them, really, the way they bared their deepest feelings to the other, and the fact that it wasn't scary anymore.

Cuddling her boyfriend close she pressed adoring kisses to his warm skin after kissing him on the lips and whispering breathless congratulations against his jawline. "I love you, too." Mari whispered, straddling him and kissing his lips before summoning a long, flat present, big enough to be hung on the door and cover half of it.

In the package there was a very special calender, it seemed to be just one sheet, encased in glass. It would depict the current month and one of 12 moving pictures she'd taken...of herself on his motorbike, wearing a tight leather biker jacket and leather trousers and thigh high boots. Each month the calender would show more and more, but each was open to showing a little skin. Each calender-Mari as a big a tease as the real deal.

As Marilyn moved on top of him, Jake allowed his eyes to open, looking up at the witch with a small smile as he laced his left hand with hers. Kissing her back with a small smile as she kissed him and wished him a happy birthday. A whispered thank you came in reply, but as something came towards them, a small glimmer of confusion touched his features momentarily before he realised Marilyn had gotten him something once more.

Shuffling back to be a little more sat up, Jake looked at the package with interest, trying to pinpoint what it could be. But, in all honesty, he had no idea, so ripping through the wrapping paper, Jake came face to face with a very similar sized Marilyn on top of his motorbike. He hadn't used it in some time, but seeing Marilyn on top of it... well, he was impressed and took a moment to fully appreciate the picture he'd been given.

It took a moment longer for him to realise that it was also a calendar, from the small calendar in the bottom right, and then his eyes moved away from the calendar to his girlfriend.

"Thank you so much!" He breathed, leaning up to press a soft kiss on her lips. "Does the picture change each month?" He added curiously, though, in honesty, the picture before him would be great for a whole year!

Pressing her lips against his she kissed him back deeply, fingers threading through his hair without even thinking about it, smiling into the kiss. "You're welcome," Mari whispered, nudging his nose gently with her own, "And yes, every month she strips a little more, but she teases a lot this August..." As she spoke the picture of herself winked at Jake and began ever so slowly unzipping the jacket, still holding it closed enough to only see a sliver of skin and cleavage. Then she stuck her tongue out and zipped up again, finally blowing him a kiss.

"And it's charmed so only you and I can see it, everyone else see's a puppy and a cat cuddling. Well. The puppy is cuddling. The cat looks somewhat grumpy. I couldn't get it to cooperate." The witch chuckled, kissing him again, this time laying down on him chest to chest and kissing him thoroughly.

"I thought it might help you a bit... for when I'm on missions..." She murmured softly, pressing a gentle kiss to his jaw.

Jake's eyes moved back to the picture at that, watching the witch wink in his direction and play with the leather jacket. Despite himself, Jake tried to move to see more, but obviously him moving made no difference. And the moment the leather jacket closed, Jake let out a soft sigh of frustration. Of course, he would forget that he had the real Marilyn led right on top of him, but it was without a doubt that he very much liked his present already.

"I think it's great!" Jake told her softly, managing to peel his eyes away from the leather clad version of Marilyn back to the witch before him as she explained that only the two of them could see it. "And that is a very good idea, we don't need anyone else seeing how beautifully teasing you can be." Jake teased softly, wrapping his arms around Marilyn and holding her close to him.

"I thought it might help you a bit... for when I'm on missions..."

"Really?" Jake asked, his tone trying to be innocent in that moment, but both of them knew what she was suggesting. Picking up his wand, Jake levitated the picture to the back of the bedroom door, hanging it neatly before turning his attention back to Marilyn. "But thank you, it's a very nice idea." Jake assured the witch, showing her he appreciated it with a longer kiss to her lips.

"No more surprises today though, yeah?" Jake asked, though he doubted he would be told even if there were some coming his way.
