As the comments passed on Madison's taste - approval of him - Finley's eyes were slightly downcast, feeling more than a little embarrassed about the situation. Positive comments like these were difficult for the Ravenclaw to deal with, truth be told, but he liked them, of course. It was just the small little happy feelings in his stomach that he needed to work through rather than looking at either of the twins.
Finley didn't think it wise to ask what nanny twenty three was, or what the story of the crushed sweets were. Getting expelled was not a laughing matter for the Ravenclaw. If it had been him, he would have been mortified by the idea - well, he was quite mortified at how Melody was playing this off so coolly. Did she not understand how important school was?
But his mind was taken off the mortification of the subject as Madison threw another compliment his way, making a small smile touch his lips. a boyfriend as awesome as you, Finley liked the sound of that, and committed it to his memory in that moment so that he had it in times of worry. Times where he didn't believe Madison could like someone like him.
Melody was quickly back to the way she had been expelled, and out of politeness, Finley looked at the photos and listened to the explanation. She had worked hard, and been so thorough, but Finley could not bring himself to comment on it, or congratulate her for the success. No, to Finley, this was abysmal behaviour, so he opted to stay quiet, instead. It wasn't exactly out of character for him to be quiet, anyway, so he doubted it would be much different to normal.
Instead, Finley tried to change the subject. "W-what's Beauxbatons like?" He asked, glancing sideways at Madison before adding. "Everyone s-says they have the m-most beautiful witches in the w-world there. B-but... I don't b-believe that." As he finished his sentence, Finley looked from Melody to Madison. His eyes said what he hadn't been able to voice - that they couldn't possibly have had the most beautiful witches in the world, because the most beautiful was stood next to him.
For Finley believed that completely.
