Background

Aimee's parent got married at the age of 20 and 21, and they gave birth to her at the age f 28 and 29. Growing up, she was thought that mixing blood is wrong. She understood her family was pure and it should stay that way. She also understood, that when she was older, her parents would find her a husband and that would be her mate for life.

She grew living their lies and their family traditions, not thinking that she was being thought wrong. Her teachings and family beliefs even landed her in Slytherin, where her true friends were not found. When she was in her 5th year at Hogwarts, she met a Hufflepuff boy, Dylan O'Brien and they became close, so close, she even slept with him. She adored him. He was a 6th year at the time and a Muggleborn. Somehow, her parents found out and that was when her father started abusing her on her breaks home.  It became so bad, she began to stay at Hogwarts for holidays.

In her 6th year, her father htreatened Dylan so much, he transferred to Durmstrang and never spoke to her since. She cried and cried. She wrote letter after letter and he refused to speak to her. Finally, once she'd graduated, she was forced to marry this guy named Serge. He was some French bigshot, that didn't seem so bad, until she realised they did not get along whatsoever.

The August before she fled to Hogwarts, he tried to get her to sleep with her, but she didn't wish to. She didn't wish to be intimate with him period. It wasn't because she was treated horribly, nor was it because she didn't love him and they were forced to marry, it was because she'd been secretly seeing Dylan for the last couple of months. She'd tell him she was going to work, but instead, she's go to Dylan's flat. So instead of him backing off when she refused intimacy, he smacked her upside the head causing her to go unconsciousness and did what he wanted anyways. When she woke up and realised what he'd done, she filed for a divorce, forged his signature and left to Hogwarts, where she'd begin a new life, just her and Dylan's unborn baby that she's yet to find out about.

Family Background

The Valentine's have always been a pureblooded wizard family, since the line began. They enforce arranged marriages, as all they care about it the line staying pureblood. They marry strictly for blood purity, and not for love, resulting in a very dramatic family.

The family line began back in the 1500s, when a young man fell for a lady, they happened to be pureblood and called themselve's the Valentine's. They owned an olive farm and created their own wine,which helped them out financially. By the time Celestino was out of his teens year, way into the future, the family was rich enough to build their own wine factory.

Celestino was arranged to marry Adele Cantu, who originated from a long line of Cavanaugh's. After a couple of years or marriage, they gave birth to Aimee, before finding out, Adele could no longer have anymore children.

She laid on the uncomfortable table, shirt pulled up, revealing her round belly. Her hand gripped tight onto Dylan's as they both watched the screen. The ultrasound camera moved smoothly over her belly due to the gel they squeezed on prior. They both smiled at the little baby moving around on the screen.

That was their genes, their DNA, on that screen. That precious monster,the abomination was theirs. They created it and now they'd raise it for the next 18+ years. They were both excited, however, Aimee was still terrified. She felt guilty for what she'd done. This wasn't how her life should've been but this was what she wanted. She wanted a kid with a man she loved. She wanted to raise her child up and tell him or her that they should look for love, not blood purity.

When she heard her babies heartbeat, tears dripped from her eyes and when the Healer turned and asked if she wanted to know the gender, she nodded yes. "It's a girl." The words rung through her head as her and Dylan exchanged looks. It suddenly became more real as the little baby, their daughter kicked her. When the healer left the room and allowed her to clean herself off, she kissed Dylan. "Mackenzie," she smiled at Dylan as she gently cleaned her belly, her daughters temporary home.

It was in that moment that they vowed to forever cherish each other and their daughter. She'd grow up knowing love and caring. They walked out of St Mungo's that day, putting their new little family ahead of them and their pasts behind them.
