| Aimee stood near the treeline, which protected her from the sun, while waiting for her students. She wore a gray maternity shirt, black maternity jeans, and a pair of black Nike trainers. Mac causing her stomach to become perfectly round underneath. He long blonde hair has pulled back in a braid and there was a flower crown adorning it. She was slightly nervous, as she'd never taught before or even thought about teaching. Originally, she wanted her first lesson to be classroom learning about firecrabs, however, she decided it best to start off with a lesson outside where the students could actually see a magical creature and not just from a picture or drawing. She remembered all too well her Hogwarts years. All the lessons had come from a book and they sat in a classroom all year and that was exactly what she'd avoid. She knew that if she were to start off with a lesson such as this, it would excite the kids and make them want to continue coming to her class. Dylan showed up before the students and she smiled to him. They were to be professional right now as this was their work. He would be here for her outdoor lessons if it dealt with animals, not only to make sure she and the students were protected, but to make sure the creatures were being treated with respect. Once a couple more minutes had passed, students began to trickle in slowly but surely. She greeted each and every one with a warm smile and a "Good morning." |

| Victoria had been so happy hearing they'd found a replacement for the Care of Magical Creatures post. Whilst she would miss Gavin, she knew that he had a busy life and teaching had become too much for him. The new professor was going to get a warm welcome from the Head Girl though, as they deserved.
Skipping down towards the clearing for Care of Magical Creatures, Victoria hummed 'I'm Walking on Sunshine' to herself until she found the class. Victoria was quite small for her age, only five foot tall, but her enthusiasm made up for that completely.
"Good morning, professor! It's lovely to meet you! My name is Victoria!" She greeted the older witch, her tone soft and genuine. There wasn't any clue as to what they would be studying today, but Victoria didn't ask, instead inwardly trying to second guess the professor in that moment, looking around and waiting for more students to arrive. ________________________________________________

| Kirsten had to stop herself from grinning. She was eagerly anticipating this class. Care of Magical Creatures was always interesting, and even though there was a new teacher, even if she wasn't very good, it couldn't stop Kirsten enjoying the subject, and taking an active interest in it outside of class. But she didn't think the teacher could be that bad, since she was not only teaching one of the best subjects here, she was Head of Slytherin, so hopefully wouldn't be the irritating type of teacher.
Her hair tied back in a neat ponytail and her Slytherin robes as straight as ever, she walked quickly along the corridor and out into the grounds.
She was careful to be on time - not that she was ever late, this was Kirsten, and the thought of arriving anywhere late was a horrifying one. "Good morning," she greeted the professor, with a small smile, before moving to stand a little bit away and wait for the other students and for the class to begin. |

| Vanilla awoke slowly that morning and trudged about aimlessly for ten minutes before finally waking enough to properly start her day. She donned her pants behind the curtains of her bed so nobody would see her prosthetic, and emerged to pull on her blouse and tie. With careful steps, because she was still a little tired, she made her way down the steps and out onto the grounds. Care of Magical Creatures was always a fun class and Nilla skipped as she made her way towards the treeline. She could see the teacher waiting with two other students. Not late then. Good. Nilla smiled and chirped a vibrant, "Good morning, Professor!" before looking about the field.
Fresh air. Certainly there was no compare. Feeling it best to rest her leg as much as possible, lest she find herself limping towards the end of the day, Nilla plopped herself down on the grass and awaited the start of class. |

| Naomi was happy to hear that they'd be holding Care of Magical Creatures again. She enjoyed working with animals almost as much as working with plants and was disappointed when the lessons cut off last year. She arrived relatively early, although not first, which suited her just fine. She slid up to the group with a polite nod and smile to the professor. She was interested to see that the professor was pregnant and wondered if class would be cut off again when she gave birth. She smiled when she saw that the woman was also wearing a flower crown, something Naomi didn't see that often.
Sitting down to one side, Naomi began plaiting and unplaiting and replaiting the grass while she waited for Finley to arrive, her legs tucked neatly to one side. She wondered what kind of animal they'd be working with for their first lesson. |

| Aha, the magical class of animals and stuff that wasn't human. Bennett walked to the edge of the forest with a neutral expression on his face. He wasn't particularly excited about this class as the only animal he could ever possibly like was Zelda. With his school bag slung over one shoulder, Bennett arrived rather early only to find that the class full of girls. Not one guy. Not a single one. Seriously where are the guys? Bennett wondered, unable to pinpoint when he had last met a new male student. He would have to comment on the overpopulation of girls ina letter to his father soon. He would most likely comment on how that wasn't bad at all, but Bennett knew better. Girls were bloody demons. Literally. They were cute and soft and admirable one second, and the next their eyes were glowing red with indignation and throwing knives at guys because they said something they didn't want to hear. Not to mention he'd seen Ollie laying down in the kitchen floor thanks to a girl breaking his heart. Yeah, Bennett was sure a class full of girls was going to be miserable.
He saw Victoria, though, and he suddenly calmed a bit. She was a good kind of girl, or so Bennett thought. Probably the only girl he wouldn't mind being in a class with. After all, she was Head Girl. When the professor greeted him, he gave her a small smile before taking a spot near the only Hufflepuff in the class so far. No way was he gping anywhere near the others. They seemed scary enough from a distance. |

| Animals! Dan couldn't be more excited if he tried. Although, that wasn't saying much given that Dan was easily excitable. He bounced out to the field--literally, he was bouncing like a kangaroo or a rabbit, this is not an exaggeration. He was about to greet the professor when he stopped dead. Pregnant. It was subtle, and most would likely miss it, but that was most certainly a baby bump. Dan was caught between absolute elation and worry that she could get hurt by any large or potentially dangerous animals. She might be trained to deal with them, but he still worried.
"Hello, Professor!" he called cheerily as he finally took notice of the other students. It seemed Hufflepuff was ruling for the moment, taking up half the students present. He was mildly proud of his house for being so punctual. Ever curious, he wondered what they'd be learning about. Obviously, they were going to see a real one of whatever it was, otherwise they'd be inside looking through their textbooks for a page given to them on the board. |

| Finley had been waiting for Naomi to come down from the girl's side of the tower. But as it grew closer to the hour of the class, he realised that he hadn't actually said he would meet with Naomi to go to class. Cursing inwardly at the mistake, Finley had slung his bag over his shoulder and all but ran through the castle. How he'd thought he'd said that, he didn't know!
It took him a good ten minutes to get from the Ravenclaw Tower down to Care of Magical Creatures, and by that time, he was panting. Naomi was sat on the grass playing with it absently and Finley moved to her side, slumping on the floor beside her as he sucked in a few mouthfuls of air.
"W-was... waiting... for y-you!" He explained to his best friend, giving her a timid smile before looking up at the professor. He gave her a small smile in apology and then turned his attention back to getting his breathing to normal once more. Definitely a bad idea running all the way, but at least he was on time. |

| Jacques had yet to settle in to Hogwarts, almost as soon as he'd arrived he'd decided he didn't like it. There were just so many people and none of them were interesting. The first years were all too childish for Jacques liking, and as of yet, he hadn't found an older student that was worth talking to.
So far, Jacques hadn't spoken to anyone in the castle, deciding that his silence was better than boring himself with idiots. Until someone caught his attention - which he found unlikely - this wasn't going to change.
Looking at his timetable, Jacques noted Care of Magical Creatures was his first lesson of the day, and he let out a soft sigh. Of all the things he wanted to do, looking after animals was not one of them. He was a Clement for Merlin's sake, this was servant's work.
So, when he got down to the clearing, Jacques stayed a little away from the main group, watching the professor until she told them what they would be doing. His face didn't give off any of his feelings though, Jacques was present only in body, his mind was elsewhere. ________________________________________________

| The summer had been somewhat life changing for Alexander, though of course he had known it was coming. At the age of sixteen he was engaged to a girl he knew only enough about. Chara Fletcher was still a witch he was trying to understand, but he knew that out of all the suitors she would be the only one who wouldn't mindlessly agree with everything he said.
Whether that had been the right choice on his behalf, he didn't know.
His parents were happy enough with his choice though, which had meant the attention had come away from his future, and back to his present. His lack of attendance in classes had not gone amiss with his parents, and they'd insisted that he try harder. They hadn't threatened him, oh no, but they had voiced their disappointment.
So Alexander had woken up just about early enough that morning to head down to Care of Magical Creatures, hoping his fiance would already be there. She wasn't though, and Alexander inwardly cursed himself for bothering to get out of his bed that morning for nothing.
With a small nod to the Professor, Alexander put his hands in his pocket, just waiting to be able to get on. |
