| Defence Aginst the Dark Arts wasn't really Delilah's one of favorite classes for sure but it was needed class so she needed to attend there for sure. She did get all what they learn here is important for sure but still she didn't like it. Learning these all spells and everything what they did here didn't seem to come easily for her. Well she was still just first year student too and muggleborn. So no wonder she isn't good at spells.
She by now knew basically were her classes were but still sometimes she managed to get a lost. Even today she was bit of lost. She some how managed to find the right classroom and she really hoped she won't be late for the class.
When she walked into the classroom she was glad that class haven't started yet. She greeted everyone who were there and noticed Christmas hats on the table. She loved Christmas actually, it was one of her favorite holidays but same time saddest since she spent it mostly alone. She went and grabber herself one hat, she placed on her head. Then walked bit further from the table and wondered what they will to do her today.

| Christmas was a hit or miss with Joshua. One on hand, he had to spend time with the parents who regretted his birth more and more each day. Whenever he had gone home over the years, his parents walked eggshells around him. It was almost as if they were afraid that Joshua would lash out at any given moment and kill them all. Joshua liked to believe that he was more rational than that. If he was ever going to kill someone, he would do it only after a long period of planning and consideration. Impulse and murder did not mix.
The only good thing about Christmas was the gifts. He'd always enjoyed receiving praise and items from other people. Christmas was a time where you learned where you stood socially. The more gifts you received, the more awesome you were... and Joshua was extremely awesome.
When Joshua walked into the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, he noticed a pile of Santa hats. Of course he put it on, because what else was one to do when presented with a pile of Santa hats?
"Hohoho where's the mistletoe?" he winked to nobody in particular. Perhaps his Christmas spirits did not need to be lifted by family. |

| As Jake's students arrived, he smiled to each of them, glad that the vast majority were joining in with the fun that he had created. Yes, Christmas hats weren't for everyone, but they weren't in the slightest bit compulsory.
Waiting for the bell, Jake clapped his hands to gain the attention of the room. "Good morning everyone! I know this is your last class before Christmas - and, for those who care, my last class as an unmarried man - so I have decided to make this lesson a bit of fun." Jake explained, motioning to the questionable pile of what seemed to be rubbish in the middle of the room.
"Today, I want you all to use as many spells as you can think of to create a manner of reaching the ceiling with the items supplied." Jake explained, motioning to the rather high ceiling of the room they were in that day. "You can use any spell you have learned from any class. All of you are to work together though. There are no rules of how you must reach the roof, you just have to be able to get there. I will, of course, be on hand to make sure nobody hurts themselves, but, basically, have fun with this!" Jake explained, motioning for them to get started.
"Oh!" Jake added, producing a magical music player that he pressed play. "And a little bit of Christmas cheer, too!" He added as 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday' began. ________________________________________________~ Auror ~ Profile ~ DADA Professor ~ ~ In a Relationship ~ 36 ~ Father ~ 6' ~ American Accent ~ | |
