Crista felt that her first lesson went rather well, though only Victoria seemed interested in the History aspect of Wizardry; to be expected as History could be rather boring. She rearranged her classroom for this topic, Camelot.

Where posters had once been hanged, now stood banners and flags. She even took it a step forward and wore traditional robes from the era; though she wished she didn't, she hated modern robes, these were worse.

A new board had been added, the first primarily focused solely on Arthur and Camelot while the second focused on Merlin. Who was as close to the Perfect Wizard as one could get, he was practically a living God back then and a genius at anything he set his mind too.

Her reasoning for focusing on this topic was simple: Muggle- Wizard relations. Camelot was the first town to attempt at a peaceful existence with Muggles, it worked for a time but then the stake burning's started again.

The small case that once held a Goblin dagger had been removed, now standing in its place a simple sword stuck in stone; it might amuse some of her hardened students.

With everything set up and some minutes to spare, she sat at her desk and cracked open on of the Library's Restricted Tomes; being a Professor has it's advantages.

Rhys was optimistic about his History of Magic class, he never had a real great interest in history but he had a good feeling about today's lesson. Besides it was probably important to learn about how the wizarding world got to where it is now.

As the young boy walked into the class his eyes didn't know where to look first, there was so much to take in, even the Professor seemed to be dressed in old style robes.

"Hello Professor" Rhys said warmly as he found a seat in the first row, the boy's eyes were instantly drawn to a sword stuck in the middle of a stone, a puzzled look came across his face, if he didn't know better it looked like something you would see in transfiguration of some poor students attempt to transfigure a stone into a sword.

Rhys then pulled out his notebook and quill and placed them on the desk, coming to this class was definitely a good idea it was shaping up to be a good lesson.

Finley had enjoyed the first lesson of History of Magic, true, he hadn't spoken up, but that was simply because he was terrified of speaking to people. Most especially in class when there was more than one person who would be listening to him. Today would likely be no different, but Finley hurried along to the class regardless, eager to learn, as he always was.

Entering the room, Finley smiled towards the professor, his usual small, uncertain smile before he made his way to the front, deciding last minute to sit next to the boy already here rather than taking up the other empty desk. Hopefully he wouldn't mind...

Taking out his things, Finley looked around, noting the really cool makeover of the classroom and then to the boy beside him. "H-Hi." Finley stammered, opening his history book and then looking away from the boy. There... conversation...

It wasn't long until another student arrived, it was another Ravenclaw he had seen him around in various classes but Rhys almost treated him like one of the Hogwarts ghosts as he seemed to very much keep to himself, in fact the boy couldn't even remember if he had heard him speak.

It wasn't until he said down next to him that Rhys heard he speak, well it was rather one word than a sentence. The young Ravenclaw noticed he had a stammer, perhaps thats why he avoided speaking, Rhys had to admit if he stuttered he probably wouldn't feel like being the most chatty person in the world.

"Hello, Im Rhys" he said cheerily, but no sooner had he introduced himself and the quiet boy had his head buried in a textbook. Rhys looked at the boy with a puzzled looked before deciding to reignite the conversation

"Like reading huh?" Rhys stated, he was being captain obvious but that was the first thing which popped into the boy's mind.

Naomi slipped into the classroom, glad that she wasn't late or just barely on time for once. She stopped a few steps into the entrance to take in the interestingly decorated classroom. She spent extra time inspecting the Professor's old fashioned robes, as they were beautifully detailed, though nothing she would have ever wanted to wear herself. "Hello, Professor," she said quietly with a small smile. Her smile grew as she caught sight of the sword in the stone; that particular bit of lore, she knew. She read Muggle books along with wizarding ones in her spare time and both had mentioned King Arthur, although a book written by wizards was more likely to focus on Merlin.

Naomi recognized both of the boys there as her housemates, one first year and one she thought was in second. Smiling politely, she sat one seat away from the dark haired boy she thought was a second year. "Hello," she said shyly to the two boys before pulling out a scrap of parchment and beginning to doodle Arthur retrieving Excalibur from the stone.

"Hello, I'm Rhys"

Finley looked up slightly from his book with a small smile, not sure how to respond to that really. Conversation... conversation... "F-Finley." The boy responded, pointing to himself in the manner he always did when he was introducing himself to someone, as if it really needed to be said that the name corresponded to himself.

"Like reading huh?"

Finley nodded quite enthusiastically at the question he'd been asked, because he really, really did like reading. Actually, it was probably one of the very few things he excelled at if he was perfectly honest, that list was quite small. "It's f-fun." Finley managed in response to the question eventually, before gesturing to the boy in a manner that asked if he liked reading too.

When the door opened, Finley looked up, giving the girl who'd just entered a small smile in greeting before his eyes returned to his book. Eye contact was just as difficult as conversation.

Rhys was surprised that he got a response from the boy, he was half expecting the boy to sit there in silence. The boy introduced himself, Rhys had to pause for a moment while the boy said his name, his stutter made him hard to understand.

"Nice to meet you Finely..." Rhys said tentatively as for he was unsure if he had heard the right name. Since the boy didn't mention anything the young Ravenclaw took that as confirmation.

After asking Finely if he liked reading, Rhys was pleased that they at least had one thing in common, he was just hoping the boy would come out of his shell abit more "Oh I love to read, maybe not History books" the boy said softly before passing a glance at the Professor hoping she hadn't heard "I tend to read more biographies, or books on experimental spells"

Rhys saw another Ravenclaw walk in, he had met her once before very briefly in the Common Room "Heya Naomi, having a good morning?" Rhys said warmly before noticing the girl scribbling something on some parchment. It seemed that Rhys would have to get use to his House containing people who like solitude

History of Magic was a subject Josh had known for years. A Pureblood upbringing insisted you knew history and how to avoid such things again in the future. Though most of the blame could be directed towards the lesser beings of their world not understanding the sacristy of magic.

Though, the world was full of idiots, so he wasn't surprised.

Slipping in to the classroom, Josh noted that the room was full of kids, and internally sighed before slipping in to the seat in the middle of the room - away from them all. The castle seemed to be over running with the little things recently. Looking around, Josh noted the rooms changed layout, but didn't grow excited. Merlin and the Arthurian rule wasn't too bad, but in Josh's eyes, Merlin had been overstated, unrealistic, and he didn't believe in the stories.

Now, it was simply a time to wait for the class to begin.

Despite the boy getting his name wrong, Finley just smiled in response. He didn't wish to be rude and tell the boy that he'd gotten it wrong, so, quite plainly, he didn't.

When the boy explained he didn't like History books, Finley glanced towards the professor, hoping she hadn't heard that because it did seem a little disrespectful to say such things in a History class. However, it hadn't been him who said it, so he wasn't going to get in to trouble, or so he hoped.

The books the boy did read made Finley nod a little bit. "I l-like all books." He told the boy in reply to what they both liked. It was a little bit of lame answer, but it was the truth. Fantasy, romance, biography, crime, history, Finley loved books. They were a place he could find solace, and he didn't bother anybody when he was reading, so it worked well for most people.

When Naomi entered, Finley smiled at the witch, but didn't speak, instead looking back to his book and wondering when the class was going to begin.

Victoria was running late, and Merlin how much she disliked that notion. But it came with the heavy schedule she'd given herself. That morning she'd just managed to finish explaining everything to the new Headmaster when she'd realised the time. With a hurried goodbye, the witch had taken off in a fast skip through the halls to try to get to class without being too late.

It seemed, however, that she had done well enough as she entered the classroom and everyone was still talking to each other. Oh, thank Merlin! Victoria had thought to herself before realising that the room had changed and they would likely be studying the man she'd just called upon. With a small smile to herself, Victoria took up her seat in the front row as usual.

"Good morning, professor!" Victoria greeted the witch at the front of the room, taking in everything around the room she could as quickly as she could. The vast need for knowledge had never slowed in Victoria, and it showed now as she scrambled to take out her notebook and began making notes on everything, and anything that she could see in that moment.
