| The information that Michelle offered to Jacques as they danced flawlessly around the Ballroom made Jacques give a small nod of understanding. He knew, of course, that the Nanny that had been entrusted with Mimosa's safety that day had been promptly dismissed by his Papa on the grounds she could not be trusted to protect the Clement Ward in a simple shopping trip.
It was, in Jacques opinion, not an unwarranted dismissal at all, but at least now, he had the other view of the argument. Mimosa, of course, did not know what had gone on, didn't understand the magnitude of the system, and that was okay, Jacques did not expect the young witch to do so.
"And you," Jacques continued, taking a moment to spin Michelle around and bring her back in close to him. "What do you hope to gain from all of this?" The question was forward, perhaps overly so, but Jacques Clement would not pretend to believe the witch before him to be a worthy candidate for teaching Mimosa the way of their world. She was a Roux, yes, but Michelle was not a Pureblood, no matter what any one else might try to believe.
His Papa had, in this instance, been much too generous in his decision making. ________________________________________________ | |

| Michelle wanted to laugh, she really did at the words from Jacques. Gain from all that? Did she really look like someone who was just there to gain something? Of course, the money was always welcome but in truth, the only thing she gained from it was a younger sister really, one who really needed help and while she was still a child, Mimosa did really need to start acting like a Clement ward. Sure, Michelle herself didn't really use manners, having them shoved down her throat from a young age made her rebel against that society, but she still knew how to act like a lady even if she didn't want to.
"Nothing," Michelle replied frankly, quietly, her eyes focused on Jacques as they seamlessly moved through the song, Michelle not really noticing when the songs started changing. "I don't gain anything from it really. Your father offered me the chance to teach Mimosa French and I took it. She's a cute kid and while she's overly eager and hyper, it's easy to teach her when there's something fun to go with the lessons." The twenty-four-year-old witch explained with a careless air of calamity around her as he feet moved through the dance.
She knew that Jacques thought nothing of her, thought her to be below him purely because she was no Pureblood but in truth, Michelle didn't really care. Had she genuinely cared about anyone's opinion, she would've already been shackled in a marriage to some pureblood and popping out kids left, right and centre. To her, her career was more important than anything. Let them call her whatever they wanted, she didn't give two fucks about it. |

| "Thank you." Prim laughed softly as she hugged Max tightly around the waist, enjoying the feel of the brunette's skin against her own hands, her fingers lightly tracing the soft muscles at Max's back. She always acted sappy whenever Max managed to be a romantic without her actually prompting him to do so. Not that she was a romantic herself.
"I can teach you if you'd like." The blond gave him a soft smile as she pressed a kiss to his cheek. She was quite happy to be complimented on something like that but because it came from Max it was even better because Max actually found it fascinating that she could do stuff like that while most people just brushed it off.
"We could get dressed warmer and I'm sure one of the older years wouldn't mind teaching us heating charms if we asked them nicely." The young witch replied at that, laughing softly around the lollipop in her lips before biting into the hard candy and smirking when some guys shifted uncomfortably and turned away from watching her and Max.
"I just came to see what all this was about and dance a bit but after that, we can just go somewhere else to enjoy some time alone if you'd like." |

| Everybody seemed to have something to there and people to chat. She didn't really wanna jump into somebody conversation. She barely knew these people who she saw were in her age. She realised she wasn't so close to anyone lately. She had people who she called friends but they didn't seem to be here today.
So it was probably a good idea just leave and do maybe read some book in her dorm room instead or then draw. She was sure it will be quiet there today for awhile since most of her housemates were here having fun. So the girl left the Great Hall to go to back her dorm room. She knew she will find something to do there what will be more fun than eating food here.
She didn't really say even goodbye to anyone, there was no point in it. She hopes next year might be more interesting or she will just skip it from start then. She can't tell yet what next year will be like. Today this ball wasn't really very interesting for her. Maybe she should have tried to talk with others there but everyone who she saw had someone to talk to already. |
