Dear Elenore,

I hope this letter finds you well. I must say that despite the relaxation that the summer promises to bring, I've heard it often times it brings boredom. So far my summer has been one of surprising relaxation. I will be allowed to return to Paris for summer, to spend all the time I need with my grand-mere. It's not much to write home about but it's all I need and more than what I asked. I don't know what happened to allow my father to let me return, but I figured that with what has occurred with my brother, I should have some fun on my own.

Father has so graciously allowed me to send this letter your way, and for that I am much appreciated. Your family and mine have always had such a great relationship. I miss you terribly and your friendship is important. Please let me know if there is anything that you might need of me. Perhaps while I am there, we can meet up. It'd be lovely to spend some time with the right kind of people. Father says hello!

Please note that in the beginning of July I will be back in Paris and you can write to me there. I hope you write to me soon.

Dearest Tess,

It's so wonderful to have heard from you! My summer is slowly sending me towards insanity as I have, once more, to deal with the young American witch that is the Clement ward. To say that it has been an easy task, dealing with young Mimosa, would be a vast understatement, but it would be unwise of me to speak ill of her in a letter.

I'm glad to hear that you're having a wonderfully relaxing summer -- I am, quite honestly, jealous to hear of such things! Pray tell, what has happened with your brother to warrant you such happiness? Maman did mention that she had seen Mycroft at the Summit they attended earlier in the month, but I would much rather hear it from my dearest friend.

I would very much love to meet up with you, Tess, we can go shopping if you'd like. Or else, come to the Palace for tea! I can ask Papa about the latter, if you like, though I know he will not deny me that request.

Please give my warmest wishes to your Papa, I don't feel like I've seen him in a very long time! Your name day might have been the last time in which I saw him, which is frightfully poor of both our families.

I have written before July simply to gain myself more time to myself. Please tell me more of your summer, I fear that the train to Hogwarts will not come soon enough!

P.S. I don't wish to start a rumour, but I know this to be a fact. Sasha Denver, a Hufflepuff in our year at school, attended the Summit with the American delegate. Apparently the American is in his late twenties, which has raised a number of eyebrows -- or, at least Maman's. I knew she was writing to someone older than her, but... to be so brazen with her love life...

I don't know how to feel about it. What are your thoughts?

My Dearest Elenore,

I apologize for such a delayed response, but without my brother's owl here, I was forced to go to an actual owlery. My Father told me about your family's ward; how is she? I think it'd be lovely to have a small child around. After all, I'm always used to being the youngest. It'd be nice to have someone to teach and to admire you. While I'm sure it's not easy, she is truly lucky to be under a true lady.

My trip to Paris all came from my brother. As you know, since my transfer, he began to work under the Minister. I don't know what work he did under him [and that is my fault for being dense], but his charm got him a invite to the ICWW. Father is so happy over this, and I admit that I was both proud and terrified. While, I get frustrated over how easy it is for him, I am a bit worried over his well-being. I know I am not the most demonstrative person...but I do miss him greatly.

He's been sending me letters about the people he meets. And while I promise myself not to worry, I find myself answering more and more questions about my well-being. I know you wouldn't guess this...but he's got a giant heart. That idiot.

Enough my brother, enough people talk about him as is. I want to hear about you. I'd love to see you! So far my grand-mere has taken me shopping to our old places that I used to meander through but a year ago. I admit, my heart and soul feel as if they are healing just being here. And if I may admit, I'd like to see my closest friend.

Please know that I am here for you in the brightest of days and in the darkest of nights. While I might not be the most demonstrative person, please believe me when I say that my thoughts are with you mon amie.

P.S. - I had not heard of such scandalous news. My brother does not bother giving me actual vital information. And while I try not to judge, I must say...that is quite surprising. I admit I am not the most knowledgeable about the people around us, but there must be a good reason why she is there. No one should wish to get bad press at such a place.

I wish this letter was one in which I could highlight how my summer has grown better, and my mood more tolerable towards the Clement Ward, however, I have made a huge mistake. I dare not write of my behaviour in a letter, in case your Papa or brother read it.

I will be in Paris on Monday -- please say you will be able to meet me? If you're free on Monday, please meet me at the Notre-Dame de Paris. And... please don't be alarmed by my choice of dress...
