Class is done, just finding something to do ( Mimosa and Sterling)

Dominique was coming out of divination class. Now that it was done, she could work on the homework. Or she could go find Sasha and go to the kitchen for a snack? Or she could go to the greenhouse to check on her plants? And maybe, hopefully bump into Sterling. It seemed like Dominique was crushing because Sterling was an older cute guy. And he said that he would give her quidditch lessons. As she wanted to try out for the Gryffindor team next year. So there were a lot of things that she could be doing.

She also wanted to go find Mimosa to see if she wanted to hang out with her. But she knew that she would be busy as she was on the Slytherin team. Dominique still thought it was funny that the Slytherin team, though that she was a spy. But it was a way for her to watch Mimosa during practice.

There was only one blonde boy on the Gryffindor Quidditch team and Mimosa knew that very well. Now, she also knew what the burly seventh year did in his spare time. And she was going to make this right.

After fleeing from he kitchens, the young Slytherin had taken the most direct route to the Gryffindor Common Room, arriving at the portrait entrance out of breath and with a distinct feeling that her feet were going to hurt the next day from the amount of quick pounding they had done on the unforgiving stone floor. Still, the image of Silky, broke and distressed, propelled the girl forwards.

"Slytherins are losers," she promptly gave the password to the lady who eyed her suspiciously, trying to find something on her dress that denoted a House affiliation. Finally failing that, she pursed her lips.

"The password changed last night dear. Try again."

This put a slight damper in the young witch's plan. She only had the old password, and hadn't run into anyone who could give ehr the new one right away. Maybe if she asked the portrait women to call Dia to the entrance...

And then Mimosa remembered the extra Divination classes her friend was taking. Dia wouldn't be inside, she would be in class. Leaving the fat woman tapping her foot impatiently, Mimosa bolted off once more, this time to the trap door that let into the claustrophobic Divinition classroom. luckily the class was just being let out so the young Slytherin didn't have to climb into the too hot and smelly room to get her friend.

"Dia," Mimosa called out, waving to the Gryffindor and gesturing for her to come over. "Dia, I need to get into the Gryffindor Common Room," she breathed, still huffing from her running spell."It's really important. I need your help, the password's changed."

He remembered. He remembered the Hosenscheisser's name and he wasn't going to stand for it. The halls flew by in his field of vision and something vaguely in the back of his mind told him that he should stop. Stop now, turn back, report the older boy, don't be a fool, that boy will kill you, you can't confront him, stop, no, turn back...

He pushed the thoughts away, focusing on the other part of him because he knew that's the side that would fuel his rage enough for him to possibly escape this encounter with little to no injuries. You can do this, you can't let him get off with a simple warning from a teacher, think of what he did to Silky and Pepper and the rest of them, think of what he subjected that poor little first year to, he can't get by with just a detention, you can do this, just be smart about it...

He listened to that side. He had to, or he wasn't sure if he would ever be able to forgive himself for passing up the opportunity to write the boy's wrongs. He's just like your father, a part of him thought and he nodded, even as he ran, he's a coward, and a villain, and an abuser. He abused those creatures and who knows who else he's abused! Sterling couldn't let the thought go and the comparison only made him angrier. He couldn't yet beat his father, but he could beat a stupid seventh year who didn't know the right way to treat people.

Dominique then noticed Mimosa as she was coming out of the class. Maybe she came to find her so that they could hang out. But Mimosa said something about the password being changed. And that this was really important. And she would do anything for her friend. “ Yeah sure I can help you with that. I need to my room and grab a book.” She had no idea what was going on. But she was sure that she would find out soon. As Mimosa told her everything. “ We will just walk up to the Gryffindor dorms.”

Dominique started her way to the dorms and knew that Mimosa was following her. Once she got to the fat lady she then said the new password. “ Chocolate Frogs.” And then the fat lady opened the door so they could go in. Which that reminded her that she was going to go grab some of her chocolate.

As they made their way to the Gryffindor Common Room, Mimosa filled her friend in on the evening's events. how she had heard a crash, how Sterling had caught up with her and how they had headed to the kitchen to investigate. The young Slytherin told Dia all about Silky the elf and how she had been forced to punish herself for some reason and though Mimosa didn't understand that reason, she would confront McLaughlin about it.

As Dia gave the password and both girls entered, the younger witch's light blue eyes darted to the boy's dormitory. "Dia, which way to the seventh year dorms. I'll go kick his butt," Mimosa proclaimed, already heading towards the stairs. The child model may not know much but she knew she could handle an armed seventeen year old very well. No harm could ever befall her.

"You can stay down here," she offered, not wanting to get Dia in trouble. "I just need to know where his room is and I'll go deal with him. He'll have to apologize to Silky for what he did."

His own footsteps echoed in the halls around him and he couldn't breathe, he couldn't think, he could only run. Well, he could think, it was just his brain couldn't seem to think of anything reasonable or safe. Not that he cared at that moment. All he cared about was getting to the older boy.

He skidded to a stop in front of the Fat Lady and opened his mouth to say a breathless password but drew a blank. Oh come on! He scolded himself, Landon told you the password just yesterday. He stared at the woman in the portrait who was gazing at him with an offended and impatient look before finally blurting, "Well if you aren't going to give me the password you should run along and stop with your incessant staring!"

He huffed and turned away, frowning. He had to remember the password. What was wrong with his memory lately? Footsteps coming towards him sounded and he looked to see just who he had been thinking of. "Landon! Hey man, could you let me in please?"

Dominique listened as Mimosa told her what had happened. Even if she really wasn’t sure of all the details, she knew that hurting house elves was not good. But Dia was sure that there were other ways that this could do. She really wasn’t sure why Mimosa wanted to come into the dorms. But it was all making sense as Mimosa was asking her where the seventh year dorms was.

“ Mimosa it would be smarter to just go to the headmistress.” Sure that meant that she would have to see the dragon lady again. But she didn’t want her best friend to get hurt. “ I am all about the house elves, but we are just a small first year girls.” She was hoping that this was getting through to her friend. But she knew that her friend believed in this so much. And Dominique wasn’t about ready to stay down there and let her friend get hurt.” I will just take you up to the dorms. “ That is when she started to go up to the seventh year dorms. And she knew that Mimosa was going to follow.

Dia seemed skeptical at first, offering other solutions like going o a teacher of even the Headmistress but Mimosa knew that would never work. Since when had adults ever solved anything? And Dia was wrong about them being little girls, but it wasn't her fault. She just hadn't seen Mimosa in action. Mimosa would beat that guy to a pulp, she just knew it!

Finally, the Gryffindor seemed to concede to Mimosa's points, leading her upstairs and to the seventh year boys' documentaries. The arrangement was similar to how it was in the Slytherin common room except in there, slides turned to stairs.

As they passed the doors, Mimosa tried really hard to read the names. She still had trouble with the letters but she tried to sound out the most often occurring letters of his name in her head and tried to imagine them, the way Jacques had taught her. Once she had a few letters, she could search for those.

Finally, they found the boy's room, and Mimosa looked to Dia, a determined air about her. "I'm going in," she announced. "You can come with me, or go get a teacher, but I'm going to get this guy," she managed before flinging the door open.

Only to find an empty room.

Somewhere in the distance, the sound of running water stopped.
