Care of Magical Creatures - Lesson Three (All Years)

Spring Term was here, and Odysseas couldn't be any happier. The weather was finally getting warmer, something that pleased the Grecian more than a little, and slowly, all the snow had melted away. The beautiful Black Lake seemed to be froze, still, but all in all, things were getting better, from every aspect.

It might have taken a while for the wizard to find his way around Hogwarts, but with time, and of course, the help of Elenore Clement, who had being his guide for the most part, the man was finally able to move around the Castle with ease, not worried in the least of getting lost. Of course, there were still places he hadn't yet explored, since his duties as a Professor were taking over most of his time, but hopefully, he would be able to find out more about the Castle's secrets.

For today's Lesson, Odysseas wasn't sure what would be wiser. To bring an adult, or a foal, for the class to see? Under any other circumstances, the man would have gone for a foal, since they were more accepting to both, males and females, but seeing as his class had been girl dominated from the start, Odysseas decided to go for the adult. This was why the man had found himself in the Forbidden Forest early in the morning, trying to find the only unicorn that would accept his touch.

Agamemnon had been a foal, when Odysseas had found him. He had obviously moved away from his family, and found himself in the woods outside Odysseas' Winter Home. It had taken a lot of time and determination, but the man had managed to gain the Unicorn's trust, and he was not going to do anything to lose it. "You're going to like them, Agamemnon. All females, and I am sure they will melt, once they lay their eyes on you." Odysseas spoke the the creature, a small chuckle escaping his lips as they reach their usual place on the Grounds. Hopefully, his students wouldn't be long, and he could get this class going.

Elena has been dealing with the knowing that Damien Greene is her biological father. She didn't know how to tell Dia of all people about this. She just hoped the young girl did accept her as her own sister. Dia has always been like a sister to Elena, but now that it was true about them being half sisters she didn't know how Dia would take it. Elena put those thoughts behind her as she made her way to Care of Magical Creatures class. She didn't want to dwell on what was happening since she needed to focus on school work. She did not want to fall behind right now, Elena didn't want to fail as she was on the verge of passing this school year.

Elena saw Sasha and Elenore from Hufflepuff there already. She was friends with Sasha but she didn't really talk to Elenore to know her like that. For some reason she got some sort of vibe from her but she didn't know what it was so Elena was going to stay clear of her until she figured it out.

Dominique knew that it was time to make her way to class. As she knew that she didn’t want to be late. She had hoped that either Sasha, Elena, Mercy or Mimosa was there. But she knew that she would enjoy the class regardless of who was there. Later Dominique had to go to the headmistress office and apologize because oh what she didn’t do in class. As her parents found out what she did and were banned from the class. So she was going to have to do that and write a letter to her parents. She just hoped that this would never happen again and she could put it behind her.

But she also knew that she was going to have to write back to her uncle and Victoria. She didn’t want either of them to know what she did. Because she knew that both of them would be disappointed with her. And that was something that she couldn’t handle. Before she knew it she was down where COMC was. She knew that this was going to be the last lesson. After looking around she noticed that Sasha and Elena were there. So she went over and was standing with them.

One by one, students began to arrive, and Odysseas waited patiently for each and everyone of them to be comfortable and ready, before he gave everyone a smile. Elenore had always been the first to arrive, something that the man had started to like lately, but soon, his usual students took their turns arriving. Miss Bliss had been a casual to his class, always participating and giving great answers, as well as Miss Denver, who's appearance seemed to be always... discreet. The young Miss Greene had never been very vocal, but she was never alone. Usually, the one and only Miss Harrington was by her side, though today, the young Slytherin had not made an appearance, which made Odysseas slightly worried. She should have been here.

But the surprised weren't over yet.

The class had always been female dominated, yet today was the day when things changed it seemed. None other than his precious cousin, Dimitri Moreau, had decided to make an appearance to his class, after he had literally been avoiding him a whole year. Odysseas couldn't hide the enormous smirk that touched his features for more than one reasons. He knew well enough that the only reason Dimitri had come here was to check something, though was that something him, or a specific lady, he didn't know. His question was answered when his cousin gave the blonde Slytherin a small smile, confusing the older wizard furthermore. Rumours had it he was in a relationship with a Muggleborn named Gerber, but this proved otherwise.

Leaving family drama behind, the man cleared his throat before speaking. "Welcome to yet another Care of Magical Creatures lesson. It's good to see some people stick around for more." Odysseas said with a small chuckle, his eyes focusing on Elenore and Elena, for different reasons. "Today, we have a beautiful Unicorn with us. As you may have noticed, I like to name the creatures closest to me. This is Agamemnon, and I have been around him since he was but a foal. Which brings me to my first question. What do you know about Unicorn foals?" The Professor inquired, effectively starting the lesson, and hoping that this one would go better than the last.

Elena watched everyone who had come to the class, kind of confused when she saw Dimitri there but didn't really think much of it. She was polite and did return the gesture polite smile that he had given her. She met him once and hadn't seen him much around and when she did he was with Neri. Elena continued to admire the unicorn in front of her. When the Professor started the class Elena was about to answer but Elenore beat her too it.

Elenore had her grinning at the end of her answer because just imagining the thought was funny. Elena recovered quickly and gave her answer. "Its very easy to tell the females from the males as the females have golden hooves as the males do not. Also what a lot of people should know is that this particular creature does help us in many was but one most likely is their hair as they're part of some of our wands" Elena answered. She always wanted to have a pet unicorn when she was younger until she realized they were better off in the forests.

"Most people don't realise that, unlike Agamemnon here, unicorn foals are born gold in colour. This normally lasts until the unicorns are about two years old at which point they turn silver, not white. Unicorns only turn white around the age of seven. The foals are, usually, more open to men at this age too, which would be my conclusion on how you can currently be so close to an adult unicorn at the moment."

A big smile touched Odysseas' lips as Elenore's voice touched his ears, soon after he had asked the question. Elenore had been a casual attendant to his class, never missing a lesson, and always participating to the fullest, no matter what creature they were studying for the day. Truthfully, the Grecian secretly wished he could have a class full of students like Elenore, but that was impossible, therefore the older wizard settled for whatever he could get. "An excellent answer, Miss Clement! Five points to Hufflepuff!" Even though the man would love to award the young witch with ten points, after his discussion with Adelaide, Odysseas knew that he had to play more careful with how he treated the Clement heiress.

Before he could ask something different, though, another one of his casual students popped up. Miss Bliss had been giving good answers, for the most part, but this time, it was not the case. It seemed that, in order to impress him, or try to look better than Elenore, the blonde Slytherin decided to blurt out whatever information she had on Unicorns.... None of which answered what he had been asking. "Your information do not answer my question, Miss Bliss. I suggest you pay more attention, when I am talking." The wizard spoke, not harshly, but not quite sweetly either. It seemed like his students were too busy dreaming about their Summer Holidays, than studying.

"Now, anyone else has something to add on foals?" Elenore had provided them with a great answer, but the man was going to give a chance to the other students too, hoping they would participate just as much as the Hufflepuff witch did.
