| "Well I have no problem telling the truth," he said casually. He nodded as he listened to what she had to say. It was something he'd became good at recently. Listening. He wanted to know everything about her, everything she was going through and everything she'd been through. "No one expects you to be," he said quietly. He wasn't sure he loved the kid just yet, but that was because it wasn't inside of him and it hadn't been born, therefore, there was no emotional attachment. He was kind of shocked at her ability to feel it already. "When will I feel it?"
It was an odd feeling to be so curious and he even shocked himself with the last question.
He loved her laugh and the way it caused her eyes light up, but at her question he paused for a moment as he watched her lean forward. He leaned forward so he could brush his lips against hers, softly, just barely there. Pulling away, he smirked, "That's just a preview of your goodnight kiss."
As much as he hated to admit it, he liked the idea of the two of them living together as well. It was weird for him, a party boy, to all of a sudden be so concerned with this one female and his unborn child. |

| Adaline gave a soft smile at those words and hummed softly as she sipped on her water. "Good to know." She murmured to the fact that Kai had no problem telling the truth. Blinking her eyes, she tilted her head to the side and thought on that. When would he be able to feel the child? "Probably in a month or two." She said with a soft smile. She wasn't entirely sure on that but it was probably somewhere around that.
An exaggerated pout made it's way onto her lips when she only got just a brush of the lips against hers. He was such a tease! "Tease." She muttered in a slightly whiny voice but there was a hint of amusement in it as well.
Adaline did like the idea of them living together and while she knew it was probably quick she didn't really care that much. |

| He watched as she sipped on her water before replying to him. Was his answer good enough for her? Had she expected something else? No, she couldn't have. If anything, she probably expected him to have been hesitant to claim the child and admit that it was his own. However, here he was surprising himself and probably her by stepping up to be a man and care for his family. He thought about the fact that this could possibly be the woman he married and smiled.
A month or two? That seemed like such a short time. Kai grew a bit anxious at the fact that he knew the baby would be here before he knew it, however, he also felt a bit ecstatic at the fact that soon, he'd be able to participate in her pregnancy by feeling the baby move and tumble and kick inside of her.
"A good one at that," he whispered quietly to her, the smirk on his face ever growing. This was most likely the reason he was irresistible because right now, he felt pretty damn confident and confidence was sexy. Or at least he thought he was irresistible and sexy. "You like it," he added on, a hint of flirtatiousness in his voice. |

| Adaline wasn't one to assume or expect what Kai would say. She wouldn't be surprised if he had been hesitent to claim the child as his. After all, their little miracle did happen when they were drunk and not sober. Letting a out a soft sigh, she smiled at him. It was, surprisingly, reassuring that Kai was stepping up to be a man and help her care for their child but not that all surprising.
The month or two might certainly seem like a short time but Adaline knew that for her it would be long. Carrying a child wasn't easy after all. Not to mention she had another five and a half months before her due date and that certainly would be a long time.
"Oh yes, very good one." She chuckled softly, leaning back in her seat and giving him an amused look. "But don't tease me too much here. I will be very tempted to do more then just kiss you." She grinned at him. Hearing the flirty tone in those two words made Adaline hum softly. "I do." |
