Mimosas and Makeup (Taylor)

To be quite honest, a part of Taylor had expected Severine to pull back or slap him. At first it felt like she'd wanted to, but then to his surprise she had kissed back a little. Capturing a girl's first kiss was a special moment, and he felt incredibly lucky to have been allowed to have hers. "Good, I didn't want to upset you by doing that. I've been wanting to kiss you since we left The Three Broomsticks, though." he admitted sheepishly. Usually he wasn't shy or sheepish at all, but everybody had their moments and this was one of his.

Taylor frowned when she told him that and cupped her cheek, rubbing his thumb gently across it. "Severine, yeah I've had a lot of practice. But...the thing you have to understand about kissing is that it doesn't feel like anything more than lips pressed to lips unless you actually have a connection with the other person. Some kind of...chemistry together. To me that kiss had it, and I already knew I liked you quite a bit." he told her, and pulled her head into his chest as he held her against him. "I'm not the kind of guy that usually would consider seriously dating a girl, but...well, if you want I think I might be open to it." he said, which was extremely hard for him to admit. He felt vulnerable when he did, scared that the one time he wanted something more real he would be turned down and made fun of for it.

Taylor chuckled quietly at that, pleased with her answer but unable to stop the slight laugh after seeing how shy she was earlier. "I know that now. With how shy you were at first today I wasn't sure you'd be interested is all. Glad I was wrong." he explained, hoping she would understand he wasn't laughing at her more at the drastic turnaround she'd had. It was rather endearing and interesting to him, how a girl who was all alone at a pub having a drink would go from uncertain of wanting his company to being okay with a kiss.

Her question of whether they had chemistry threw him for a loop. "Of course. I mean...didn't you feel it when we kissed?" he asked, now beginning to wonder if he'd been imagining it. "Chemistry's something two people either have or don't have, I just thought you felt what I did." Taylor admitted with a slight frown. Her notion of not needing to have friends with benefits and staying friends if they broke up was perfectly fine with him. "Severine, I wouldn't have brought it up if I wasn't interested. Will you be my girlfriend?" he asked, letting go so he could look into her eyes. "And of course I'll still be your friend no matter what happens. But, for the record. If you offer benefits and we aren't dating I am totally taking them. You're kind of really sexy." he whispered at the end of it.

Severine's reply of liking to try new things made him smile, nodding. "That makes sense, I suppose. What's so amusing about me calling you shy, though? You make it seem like you know something I don't." he said, eyes narrowing suspiciously. Half the trick with understanding girls better was learning how to interpret their laughs and giggles. Seemed silly, but there really was a whole language in there if you paid attention to how different ones laughed different ways.

Taylor looked at this time with bewilderment. "Not know... how can you not" he started before stopping himself, and sighing. "Well, how did it make you feel then? You have nothing to compare but I think I deserve to know at least that much." Taylor said, giving her a smalls mile of hope and to let her know that he wasn't upset with her just not used to having to explain this sort of thing. "Wait, seriously. Just like that?" he asked, thinking this was far too good to be actually happening. Before she could answer he leaned forwards and captured her in another kiss, arms wrapping around her tighter than before as he was a bit more forceful in this one, though didn't try to slip any tongue. They could french kiss another tim.

Her admission of not being shy made him laugh, and he leaned slightly against an aisle for support. "Oh, very well played indeed. Here I thought you were shy and nervous, and you were just getting what you wanted all along. Very Slytherin of you for a Gryffindor." he told her teasingly, loving to see a devious side to the blonde naturally. Taylor had been kind of wondering part of what made her stick out to him aside from the obvious good looks and well-raised manner, the devious nature would certainly explain part of it in his reasoning. He usually picks up on people's personalities even before he really notices in his conscious thinking, just an instinctive feel for people in general. Definitely part of what he thought had wound up making the sorting hat put him in the house of the snakes.

Smiling when she explained it better he nodded. "I know exactly what you mean, thanks for clarifying." he told her with a grin. Taylor had kissed enough girls to know that it took more time for others to get into it than some. He smiled back when she gave him an affirmative response. "I didn't want you to, but I kind of expected it. Like I told you, I think you're too good for me. But if you want to date than I would be ecstatic to." he said, before walking tot he counter, one hand in hers and holding it as he paid for their sweets, her chocolate and his fruit candies.

Taylor could understand not wanting to be grouped in with a sibling, and her explanation made as much sense as anything he'd come up with. "Seems logical, sure you weren't a shoe-in for Ravenclaw as well?" he asked jokingly, giving her his teasing smirk as he needled her a bit. When she said that she'd been studying he arched his eyebrow at her. "So...when exactly were you studying me? Also, what made you decide I was?" he asked, following up his first question with another immediately. Usually he noticed when a girl was checking him out or looking at, but he certainly hadn't noticed Severine.

Shaking his head, he leaned in and kissed her temple gently. "Trust me you are, but it's rather endearing that you don't see it." he whispered. Once they were done and left the shop, he put his arm around her waist as they started walking. "Sounds like a plan. Let's make it a slow walk though, I like being able to kind of hold you as we go." he told her softly, letting the tender side of him show for a moment when he met her eyes.
