| Blake looked around the class, a light frown on his face. This wasn't exactly what he had in mind when he volunteered for a long-term undercover role, but he supposed it wasn't all that bad; he'd always loved teaching, and with both sides of his family being Muggles it was surprisingly easy for him to get the job. It helped, naturally, that Jake was also there -- not that they acknowledged knowing each other before this. Both were professionals, and both knew the risks of undercover work, even if in a school of mostly children.
Still, he wanted -- needed -- friends, and a wink sent to Jake when nobody was around was enough for the other party to know that, sometime soon, they would 'meet' for the 'first' time. It was difficult, being away from Andi like that, since there was a 'no-contact' rule for his safety, and Blake was pining for his girlfriend -- his One Good Thing -- already. The irony was, of course, that she'd found out he liked her while she was undercover at a University.
Pushing thoughts out of his mind, Blake focused on the current task at hand. With a flick of his wand, Blake's somewhat messy, but just legible handwriting appeared on the chalkboard.
"Muggle Photography".
He'd managed to get his hands on a few old polaroid cameras, about one per pair of students, and these were arranged on the desks. It wasn't going to be too hard a lesson, he hoped. Perching himself on the edge of his desk, he checked the time and waited for student to arrive. |

| Cade had been excited for this particular class, being the only class he was good at. Which lead him to make his way to Muggle Studies. Knowing that they had a new professor, and had been pretty thrilled as it was nearly cut the year prior. Which caused Cade to hope that maybe this year would be different and class would actually last. He had been coming close to the muggle studies classroom.
He had been curious to see what they were learning, and wondering if maybe that could be a class he actually succeeded at. Cade had been smiling as he entered the classroom taking a look around the classroom noticing the new professor, which made smile. The professor had been a man which meant it would like all the other professors.
Since it seemed the school lacked girl professors, but he didn't care. Since he had barely liked any of his professors, only doing things to get him by. And with that Cade took a look on board to find out they were learning about and read it had been Muggle Photography, and he had a smile show up on his face.
As he took a seat wondering if maybe phones counted. |

| The...discussion she'd had with Toryn had really shaken Stephanie up. Before, she'd been so set in her way of thinking and living. It was just the way she'd always done things as she strived to follow in Verena's footsteps, almost like a checklist. Be popular. Show off wealth. Shun all Muggleborns. Make as many friends as possible. Make her name and presence known in the school. But since that day at the lake... The talk she'd had with Toryn was as welcome as a bucket of ice cold water in the dead of winter, but also quite necessary. There were times she almost agreed with what he'd said, but her pride wouldn't ever let her admit that to him. Still, it gave her a lot to think about.
It didn't help that their exchange had been done right before summer. Through all the balls and parties they attended, Stephanie could not keep her mind off his words. It was safe to say that she did not enjoy herself as she normally would at the Pureblood functions, even stepping on a few dance partner's toes and so lost in her thoughts she didn't hear when poeple called. She'd been so uncharacteristically quiet and unfocused that her siblings had noticed. Thank Merlin she'd managed to pull through the functions well enough - through various means of lies and excuses - that their acquainatnces didn't question her. Perhaps they talked about her behind their back, but Stephanie found that she didn't really care. She was too busy mulling over what her life had been and what Toryn had pointed out to her to bother with gossiping old ladies.
Which was why she'd signed up for Muggle Studies, the last thing she ever thought she'd be doing in Hogwarts. The decision to attend the class was a war she'd fought with herself. To attend it was to show Toryn that she was giving thought to his words. To not attend it was to cheat herself of the opportunity to see if what he said was actually true. In the end, she swallowed her pride. Every theory had to be tested before it can be proven true. If not, it just remained a theory. She would test out Toryn's theory for herself.
She entered the class and seated herself after giving a demure greeting to the professor, her heart pounding over her decision and her mind praying that she wouldn't regret it. Reading what was written on the board, she breathed a little easier. Photography was something she was good at. Not the actual taking of the photographs or working a camera, but she could pose pretty well and knew which angles she looked best at. Perhaps this wouldn't be as unrelatable as she thought it would be. |

| Cassiopeia's summer had been an interesting one for sure. She had met few new people and same old. She even had some new adventures. Many of those meetings or adventures didn't end so good but she didn't care. She was no back her in school and she knew this year she will have exams end of them. She had no idea how she will do on them. She didn't worry about them yet much, she had so much time until those happen.
The muggle studies were one of the classes what Cassiopeia didn't really enjoy. There were so many reasons for it. She wasn't just interested in muggle stuff that much one of them and she didn't know much about them was another. She still ended somehow taking this class this year. She had no idea why she did it even.
She walked into the classroom and sighed. She didn't even bother to say hello to the professor like she usually did. She walked back of the classroom and took a seat there. She looked chalkboard and read the words there. Photography she read there basically.
She had no idea what they will talk here even. She noticed here was a boy who she had met summer in a sweet shop, who wasn't very nice to him. So right now she even ignored him there right now. She wasn't really in the mood of start some kind of fight again over some ridiculous thing. She basically had decided to ignore everyone unless they had to do something all together.
She wished this lesson will start soon and also will be over soon. So she could to do something else with her time than sitting here and talk about the thing she doesn't know anything about. |

| Muggle studies had been a class Cabhan didn't actually have to attend but did anyway, for two reasons -- well, many, but two main ones. The first was sheer curiosity: he wanted to know how wizards thought of his kind (or his heritage, rather). Secondly, it was an easy enough A, since he didn't really need to study or anything.
There was also a new Professor (he wasn't sure what happened to the old one nor did he want to ask) and, from what he'd heard, it was a decent enough guy. Professor Mason, or something akin to that.
Stepping into the class, his jaw all but hit the floor as he noticed a familiar face (or rather, hair) in one of the seats. He stopped dead in his tracks, eyes growing wide, and almost dropped the bag he was holding. It was probably not a good impression for the Professor, but all he could think in that moment was: Empty night!, a swear phrase he'd adopted from a book series he'd recently read.
What was she doing here? He couldn't understand it. Unless... Oh crows. She took my words to heart? Cabhan very nearly turned around and booked it out of there, but made himself take a few deep breaths, and, as calmly as he could, he walked over to her, where he paused.
"Stephanie..." he started, then took another breath. "Look, I just..." He brought his hand to the back of his neck, which he could already feel starting to heat up. "I want to... to apologise. For what I said. It wasn't right of me. And... and I don't expect you to forgive me, but..." But? he asked himself mentally. He didn't have an answer to that. "But I'm sorry," he concluded, rather lamely, and then, without waiting for a reply, moved past her and to the front row, where he sat, greeted the Professor, and waited for class to begin.
Already he'd noticed the cameras, but the excitment that came with that had been distinguished by one Stephanie Richardson. |

| Severine would be lying if she tried to say she wasn't at least a tad bit excited for Muggle Studies, of course had her parents seen it on her timetable - they would've flipped but they hadn't. Severine had decided after much mulling over her options with her twin, Leoni, that if she were to eventually get a real career, she needed to at least know something about Muggles, especially if she wanted to operate in the Muggle world on occasion. Leoni, of course, thought it was ridiculous that Severine could actually bare to even attempt taking a class that gave a glimpse into the Muggle world but Severine thought she was smart.
The seventh year regardless, was pretty happy about her class choices for her final year at Hogwarts and with a renewed energy, she set off to class. She felt like she could easily accomplish this year. After all, the better she did, the better chances her after graduation goals were to be reached meaning moving out of the Palace of Monacco.
The Gryffindor had spent a bit of extra time getting ready this morning before leaving the towers and managing to find her way to the classroom. She had noticed that several other classmates had already beaten her there but that was fine, they were all younger anyways. Severine walked in, straight back, feeling like she was the Queen of Hogwarts and took a seat looking to the board and then back to the Polaroids. This would be interesting, that was definitely a given. |

| Lainee had never been one to hold anything against muggles, and despised the idea of blood purism. Since she wondered where the acceptance had been in the world, the girl had no clue, and despite growing up a mostly wizard life, she had still wanted to know somewhat about the muggle world. Not just what the muggleborns told them, and she had some knowledge from some of her family members. Even though most muggles in her family had been deceased, leaving her only with half-blood relatives.
The girl had also heard that the class would have another professor. And it seemed strange since it seemed the school always had a new professor. But then again some people just found better jobs, then teaching students. Not like she could blame them, teens were the worst, and she didn't even consider herself being as bad as the others.
She had been very mature for age, well that she was thought. Then again the girl was not always good when she was under pressure. The Ravenclaw had soon arrived at the Muggle Studies class, and had entered to see the new professor. Lainee had to give him credit the guy did not even look like a old person.
Making the job of learning ten times easier, and she soon saw the board had read Muggle Photography. The girl had smiled she had like some photography, even though the only one she knew was from a having phone that she rarely used due to not having any muggle friends to even talk to. Not many wizards had social media, which led to the girl to spot the polaroid cameras on each of the desks.
The girl smiled as she took a seat at one of them, and waited for the lesson to begin. |

| Delilah liked muggle studies lessons mostly because they were interesting and she did understand most of the things in this lesson. She is muggleborn and she did grow up in the muggle world. She has never even lived in wizarding world if you don't count Hogwarts.
She walked into the classroom and noticed there was already few people. She barely knew anyone here. She walked towards one of the empty seats in the lesson. She didn't really wanna sit next to someone who she barely knew. She had met one of the persons in this classroom in summer but that didn't mean they will be talking now always.
She looked at the board and saw there word photography. It was something about what she actually knew a little bit but not that much. She has barely taken pictures really. Lately, there is no reason even do it so. |

| Muggle Studies. A complete waste of an hour in Mathew's opinion. But it was a waste of an hour that would allow him to instead not waste the hour, and people watch. Of course, there were only a handful of people Mathew actually wanted to watch, and he was taking something of a punt on those he was going to watch turning up. If not, well, then it would be a waste.
Except, they did have a new professor. And that was mildly interesting.
Mathew would, at least, from today learn about their new professor. Which was why he had pushed through the door to Muggle Studies, given the professor a very cold look up and down, before moving to the back of the room and settling. His eyes befell the subject of today with no interest. This was not why he was here today, he had no love for Muggles, truthfully.
Only those who took the subject. |

| Roxanne hadn't really been up for taking Muggle Studies that year but she had so much time on her hands that she decided to see what the lesson was on about, not to mention she had seen the new Professor and some eye candy certainly wasn't going to go amiss, though truthfully no-one beat Professor Vasquez, in her opinion, on the looker scale.
Slipping into the room, the Ravenclaw found a seat somewhere near the back of the room and sat down, unknowingly sitting down in front of Mathew Howard, the Hufflepuff boy that she had met only once last year. Taking notice of her fellow students, Roxanne turned her eyes back to the front of the room, taking notice of the topic on the board, before they settled on the Professor and she instantly blushed lightly; okay she could see why the girls were in such a tizzy about coming to Muggle Studies, the Professor was hot.
Maybe she would carry on the lesson for the rest of the year if only to enjoy the sight of the Professor. No-one said you couldn't enjoy some eye-candy while in a lesson. |
