| The woman bit her lip as the hand the held the colored chalk to the board finished writing out what the subject matter for the class was going to be. She'd talked it over with the headmistress and had been approved for what she was going to discuss. Hopefully her little minions would like this subject since most children have read or had them read to them. It would be a common factor no matter what family the child had been born into; wizard or muggle. Hopefully this session wouldn't be as much as a disaster as her first class. "Right," she muttered and set the chalk down into the holder and turning to look at her empty classroom. "Right," she said again and went to open the door before going and sitting at her desk. Pushing the nervousness aside, she opened her bag and pulled out two stuffed animals which she lined up on the desk with a few other objects. It might have looked weird for a woman to have a rabbit, hedgehog, an egg, and a glass shoe on their desk. If anything it would give the students pause and maybe have them at least try and connect the objects on her desk with the words on the board which she'd written. Pleased with herself she sat back down in her seat biting into an apple for a snack. On the board behind her was written: FAIRY/FOLK TALES |

| Finding History of Magic coming up on her list, Elenore was excited to head to the lesson. Jacques had always complained that this class did not focus on the French history enough -- apparently the English should know how the Clements had turned the country around, how the Clements had driven France to greatness, and the lessons others could take from that. But, Elenore disagreed.
Seeing history without the bias of the Clement historians was a breath of fresh air to the young witch, and this was precisely why she had hurried along to the lesson after breakfast with enthusiasm radiating from her as she stepped in to the room.
"Good morning, Professor Locke," Elenore greeted the older female, before taking up a seat in the second row of the classroom. Elenore did not like to sit at the front, but she liked to look keen enough in the class by sitting close to the professor, too. Looking to the door, Elenore hoped Tess would come too, they could work together if the need arose, or else know how to work on a project together later in the week.
Taking out her book and a quill, Elenore waited patiently for the lesson to begin, eyes belatedly falling on the subject which brought a smile to her lips. Folk stories were always quite amusing. ________________________________________________

| Sasha wasn't really a very big fan of history lessons but she decided to go to this lesson. Basically, she knows that history is important most of the time. Also at times, history could be interesting for sure and it all depends on what they are learning in it for Sasha.
The girl walked into the classroom with a small smile on her face. She just was a bit of happy and she wasn't exactly sure why. Her life was basically still the same but yeah she somehow managed to smile still. "Hello, Professor," she said with a small smile. She did send smile towards Elenore too, a girl who she gets along actually, she wasn't sure if they were yet friends or no.
She took a seat in the back rows. She glanced at the board to see what they are learning today. It seemed to be an interesting topic. She took out her book, quill and other needed things for this lesson. She actually was waiting to start with the lesson already. |

| Janet glanced at her schedule with a sigh. History of Magic was usually one of her least favorite classes, but Janet couldn't bring herself to skip the lesson, no matter how bad she wanted to. That's what finally lead her to trudge down the hall to her classroom. Before entering she composed herself, taking a deep breath and pasting on a smile.
She entered the room with a soft "Good morning Professor Locke." She waved to the other people in the class and paused at the desk to look at the objects spread out before taking a seat at the front of the class. This might actually not end up being a horrible lesson. She read the board with a little nod before turning her attention back to the objects on the desk as she pulled out her book and things to take notes with.
If this lesson was to be about fairytales then the items must be related somehow. As she looked at them she grinned, understanding the meanings. The rabbit for the tortoise and the hare, the egg for Humpty Dumpty, and the shoe for Cinderella would be her guesses, though she had no idea what the hedgehog could be for. |

| Bethany smiled at each girl as they came in and warmly returned their greetings. Finished with her apple and seeing that they were ready to start the lesson as well, the woman stood up and gave them a smile. Hopefully this lesson wouldn't disappoint anyone least of all herself. "Well, I'm sure you've each either read some kind of fairy or folk tales, or had them read to you, or maybe have even just heard about them from a friend."
She glanced at them and noted their reactions and continued on. "Just about every culture weather magic or mundane have tales like these and more often than not, they involve some form of magic."
After learning about them herself, she sought out every tale she could find and hadn't stopped with those just from her own country but from everywhere. The researched helped now that she had her own child to tell them to. Hopefully, her class had enjoyed having heard or read them as well.
"And am I correct in assuming you all are curious as to how what I'm saying and the objects on my desk relate. No, your professor hasn't lost her mind." Pretending to think about she amended, "Well, not yet least ways. Would anyone care to give an example of a folk or fairy tale you know that has one of these objects in it?" |

| Janet nodded as the professor spoke, she had heard plenty of fairy-tales from her parents and the rest of the village. As with her teacher she had taken an interest in them and had gone through the village, knocking on doors and asking for stories. That's where she learned about a collection of movies the muggles watched, called "Disney movies" this is where she found her love for these moving pictures and watched more and more of them.
Janet chuckled at the small joke the older woman made, honestly in her mind, everyone was a little mad in their own way. She asked if anyone knew what the collection of items could be from and her hand shot up.
She pointed to the shoe, grinning. "The glass slipper is from Cinderella." Cinderella was a beautiful movie and Janet hoped they would discuss it further. So far this class wasn't turning out the way she had expected. |

| Hurrying along to History of Magic, Dimitri was sure he had time to get there before the bell, however, before he'd gotten to the bottom of the stairs on the first floor, the bell had sounded and he cursed internally for his bad luck in that moment. Still, he pushed on, hurrying to the door and giving a polite knock -- he paused for a moment -- before entering.
The professor had just started the lesson, and the Ravenclaw gave her an apologetic smile. "Sorry, professor. Won't happen again." He assured her, before hurrying over to Janet to take the seat beside her.
Just as he was sitting, though, Janet was answering the question, and Dimitri's eyes hurriedly moved to the professor's desk, inferring from the answer Janet had given that they were trying to place the objects on the desk. The Ravenclaw quickly took in the notes on the board, and then the pieces on the table.
Leaning slightly towards Janet, Dimitri whispered softly. "What was the question?" He didn't want to interrupt the professor as she was talking, so he didn't make a big show of his question, and genuinely hoped Janet wouldn't mind it, either. |

One of the things that Tess hated most in the world was being late, and it seemed today she seemed to ignore the noise from the outside world and slept extra time. It was the chatter of her floor mates that work her up and signaled her to get ready. Rather than her usual care, she threw on a nude chemise, slid on her skirt, slipped into her shoes and tied her hair up in a high ponytail before running out. She ignored the gasps as she ran down the stairs buttoning her blouse. She was sure people had seen other classmates in less, and she would rather have them see her in a chemise than be later than needed in class.
Thankfully it was only one flight of stairs that she needed to take before entering the classroom. Dimitri was right in front of her and she took advantage of the boy opening the door. A whispered greeting was all the boy got as she slid towards Elenore's row murmuring an apology to her professor. She ignored her flushed expression as she finished tying her tie and pretended like nothing was wrong.
She had inferred what was going on from Janet's response to the question, and her eyes landed on the small rabbit sitting on the desk. Tentatively she raised her hand. "The small rabbit might be Babbitty Rabbitty and her Cackling Stump?"

| Bethany took note of her students tardiness but didn't say anything other than a nod and soft smile to let them know it was forgiven. While she knew that it was generally looked down upon and some punished for it, her view was quite different. At least they made it to class and that was what counted and mattered was it not?
Beaming at Janet for getting the glass slipper she picked it up transfigured it to so it was no longer made of glass but of silk and silver before handing it over to the girl. "Correct. Five points to Slytherin." She was happy that someone got that one. She knew that someone would catch that one right off the bat and she was thrilled.
Giving the other girl a proud smile at her correct answer as well, she nodded. "Correct again for another 5 points for Slytherin." Picking up the rabbit she tossed it to Tess.
"And the question Mr. Moreau, was if you could name a fairy or folk tale that had one of these items in it." Her tone let him know that she wasn't scolding but rather teasing him. She would rather a student ask or have her repeat a question rather then bluff their way through without understanding the topic. If they still didn't understand she would try and explain it another way. She didn't want any of her students to be left out. Giving the boy a mischievous look she asked, "I'll give you ten points if you can tell me why I changed the glass slipper." |

| Dimitri had been quite sure that Janet would come to his rescue with an answer to what they were doing, unfortunately for the Ravenclaw, however, the professor had other ideas it would seem as she called on him. Or rather, called him out for being late and not having asked what was happening. Truthfully, Dimitri had thought his way would interfere less with the class, but the professor surely knew best.
The question, however, made Dimitri look to the shoe now sat before Janet with something of a blank expression. He didn't know the significance of the silk and silver slipper that had appeared, and for a moment, he stared blankly at it. He would have loved to get the ten points for Ravenclaw, but truthfully he had no clue what it was.
His little sister might have...
"I don't know, professor." Dimitri replied glumly, his eyes leaving the shoe and not daring to look to the professor to see the disappointment that would likely be there. |
