One of the more prominent features of the event were the myriad of games and activities organized for students and parents alike. The Winter Princess/Mermaid Fashion Show was for those fashionably inclined female students who wished to show off a particular style, the snow and ice sculpting contest was for students who wished to show their artistic side through building, the sleigh rides offered generously by the PTA took a dozen students at a time aboard a glistening sleigh and flew them up to the towers of the castle, making a round of the gently, magically snowing skies, the photograph boot was set up to capture moments with family and friends.

And then there was the Reindeer Racing Track.

When Azalea had approached Professor Venizolas about perhaps obtaining some winter themed creatures for the event, the man had frowned slightly at the notion but had come through regardless, showing up with no less than ten well trained reindeer to go with the newly redone Quidditch Pitch. He'd assured Azalea and Jake that all reindeer were used to dealing with humans and requested that in addition to parent and teacher chaperons, he too be present at the Pitch converted into a Racing Track to ensure no harm came to either the kids participating or the beasts involved.

While the winning prize for the race was the substantial twenty galleons, rumors had it that a lot of side bets had been placed on the race too, making it a particularly interesting one to watch.
