| Veronika was excited because today she had a rather exhilarating lesson planned for her fifth, sixth and seventh years. The thing about combining classes was, she couldn't very well teach them the same thing. Some of these students were to be taught more advanced lessons, and this class period she really intended to hammer that fact in. So whenever she had to chance to she brainstormed ideas for how to teach her class split into three years and decided that she would just have to have them group up.
Who knows, she thought tapping her index finger on the seam of her lips, maybe House Unity could even be brought to them? The idea thrilled her really. With that in mind she pulled her hair into a ponytail behind her head and straightened out her teaching outfit; just a white Oxford button-up with the sleeves rolled up and black slacks to go with black two-inch heeled boots.
"Good morning students," Veronika greeted the older students as they filed in, "I need you all to get into three groups according to what year you're in; Fifth Years with Fifth Years, Sixth Years with Sixth Years, and Seventh Years with Seventh Years. Probably didn't need to explain it that much, but there you have it." |

| Transfiguration wasn't exactly Aiden's favourite subject nor his best one but he could get through it with some practice and quite a lot of theory to research. His practical was alright but it did take him more then just a few tries to get the spells perfect. When he had heard of the fifth, sixth and sevenths years being together he had been, naturally, surprised about it. After all, all of them were in different years and they were not all on the same level.
Walking into the classroom Aiden gave Veronika a light smile before moving to stand with the fifth years, his head tilted to the side. What had she planned? It certainly seemed interesting but then again anything that any teachers did was interesting for Aiden whether it was good for him and the students or not. Watching the other students move into the correct places, Aiden was quite amused to notice some of the disgruntled looks they were wearing. Oh this lesson was going to be very interesting. |

| Sebastian had become lost. Again. Trying to find his way around the castle. He was getting better, but Transfiguration hadn't had a class last term which meant he hadn't learnt it's location. But after taking the wrong turn, correcting himself and finally moving in the right direction, Sebastian had found his class.
Letting out a relieved sigh, the Italian walked in to the class, giving the professor a small smile before following the instructions of moving to the group of sixth years. For the most part Sebastian kept to the back, not overly chatty with the rest of his year.
It was a moment later that Sebastian noted Aiden, and he flashed the Slytherin a small smile. What they would be doing today, Sebastian wasn't sure, but he hoped it was going to be enjoyable, no, he was sure it was going to be enjoyable, he'd heard the professor was a good professor, after all. |

| Knowing her next class was with Veronika - or Professor Hollands as Victoria should probably call the witch - made Victoria a little happy. This would be her moment of being able to see if Jake was okay. The fact he'd been hurt had been deeply upsetting for Victoria, and it showed. Her eyes didn't sparkle with their usual happiness, and she was worried about her brother more than she could say.
But Professor Hollands was looking after Jake, so she would have some news. After the lesson, Victoria would ask, but until then, she simply tried to look for signs that Jake was doing well in the way the professor held herself.
"Morning." Victoria greeted the room as she entered the class, taking on board the instructions and moving to stand with her fellow seventh years. Idly, Victoria wondered what they would be doing today, but at the moment, she was trying to pull herself up from the feeling of hopelessness she felt. ________________________________________________ | |

| Ethan absolutely loved transfiguration. He made sure to wake up early and get to the great hall for breakfast early, so he wouldn't miss the class this time. Satisfied with himself, he waltzed down the corridor. Upon entering the room, Ethan wore his infamous lopsided grin before nodding his head in greeting.
He was slightly confused as to why they were to get in groups by their year, but that wasn't supposed to matter because he could help others that were struggling if need be. He walked over to the corner of Sixth years to find a Ravenclaw boy already there. His grin widened and he extended his arm. "I'm Ethan, and it seems we're going to be in the same group." His words were casual, and laid back. Like himself. Maybe this kid would help him study for N.E.W.T.s next year if he was still around. |

| Alexander always struggled with enthusiasm for classes. He wasn't stupid, nor did he really struggle with magic, he was just lazy academically. It was the joy of being brought up around book after book, insistence to know this law and that. How to lead, how to hold power, how to make the best of the lands his family owned, how to make the people happy. The list was endless, and after so many lessons in life, he found himself wanting to be more and more free.
And then, he had met Chara.
The beautiful Hufflepuff had, in a manner, captivated Alexander more than he would say at this point. She was different, and he felt comfortable around him. So when she had asked as to how his classes were going, Alexander felt a little embarrassed to admit he hadn't really attended very many.
So, that was why he was, somewhat early, to Transfiguration that day, his hair in a little bit of a mess due to waking up later than necessary. Listening to the instructions to move towards their fellow classmates of the same year, Alexander moved off with another Slytherin. He didn't speak because he still wasn't quite awake enough for social interactions, but he was present at least. |

| Venus didn't mind Transfiguration that much, but then again, she thought highly of all the subjects. Making her way down the hallway was a small task, but she made it nonetheless. She entered the classroom and smiled, catching Professor Holland's word of instructions. She sent a small smile towards her house mate, Victoria, and walked over to Aiden and another Slytherin boy.
"Hello Aiden." She smiled and turned to the other, nodding her greeting as she didn't know him and he seemed to tired to be bothered. She pulled out her book and looked around, there were only two people she didn't greet, and they were sixth years. She wouldn't bother with them. She then looked at Professor Hollands with expectant and eager eyes. She was curious as to why they were separated into years, but all in the same class. she pulled out parchment and her quill in case she needed to take any notes. |

| Staying away from being chatty didn't seem to work for the Ravenclaw, for the moment he thought he was okay and away from the commotion, someone had approached him. A Gryffindor - very fitting really, a courageous person moving forward to make the first move.
Noting the boy's hand, Sebastian took it - with a firm grip, as he remembered his father's words from so many years ago - and shook it firmly. "Sebastian." The Ravenclaw responded as was polite. "Seems so." He added in respect of the working together point.
Whether he was happy about that, Sebastian wasn't sure yet. If the Gryffindor wasn't very good, then it wouldn't be a good less, but equally if the Gryffindor was too good it wouldn't be a good lesson. All Sebastian could hope for was that the boy wasn't a freeloader, because he wouldn't tolerate being used. |

| Oh no.... The professor said to get into groups... Being shy, Nora didn't like being around huge groups of people. Two was ok, three was too much. Maybe she could shy away and not get noticed and not be in a group. That was a good plan. Nora sunk way down in her seat to not get noticed. Being a fifth year, she didn't have any friends, and tended to spend most of her time in the library. She had to ace this year as it was the year of her OWLs. And this year meant everything. It would determine if she would become a healer, potioneer, or herbologist. Really, with her marks, Nora's possibilities where endless, and that terrified her.
She had almost successfully made it without being noticed. Being as shy and quiet as she was, she was used to it and often did it on her own. Nora chewed on her hair, a habit she had gotten into when she was nervous. She looked down at her lap and played with a string that was coming loose on her robes. She would owl her mums later to see if she can get a new one. Thinking about home always calmed her down. Even in this situation. |

| Veronika rubbed the back of her neck; this wasn't to be an easy lesson on any of them, but she'd have to power through and hope that her students wouldn't hold it against her too much. She sort of wished she'd had more tea with her breakfast muffin and apple; it would have soothed the wayward worry that was starting to irk her. She took in a deep breath and smiled at her students. Regardless of how nervous she was for this lesson to go right for all of them, she had total confidence in her students to preform up to expectations.
"For my fifth years," she began, stepping towards them, "we are to practice casting the Doubling Charm. This duplicates an object but on another level can be used to curse an object into multiplying repeatedly rapidly when touched, this other level will not be taught to you," she added giving them a hesitant glance. "Funny enough it was evented by a pair of reclusive twins, Helixa and Syna Hyslop, and they used it to make two of every item in their mansion. They taught it to their relatives who then brought it to the Wizarding population." She flushed, realizing that part was unimportant but oh well, she continued on.
"Duplicates rot more quickly than the orignal and therefore have less value, whether or not it can duplicate sentient beings is unknown to anyone but the Ministry unfortunately. Today we'll be doubling your quills. It's not at all hard.
"First take your wand like so," she flicked the wand quickly and uttered the charm at her quills, "Gemino." And just like that there were two quills.
"Not too hard, please practice and then ask each other for help," she hoped that pushing for group activity wouldn't be too trying on the less social ones of her class. "Ask me for help when necessary." She added before turning towards her Sixth Years.
"For you all, I want you all to practice conjuring items. This shouldn't be too hard but it also isn't granted to be too easy. It's not like the Accio type of conjuring; it's a bit more specific. It will take precise focus on the target." She went to demonstrate so by lifting her wand and pointing it in the direction of the wall clock that was in the direct casting of a student, but a little ways above.
"Inanimatus conjurus," and within seconds the spell arrived in her outstretched free hand, she winced as it had come with quite a force, but ignored the small throb in her hand in favor of flicking her wand to carry to back to the wall. She pointed towards a different corner of the classroom, one that was empty of desks, she had the final row taken out for this lesson, and showed that on the back wall there were balls of fluff taped to the wall. Fluff that was just actually stuffing from teddy bears.
Finally she turned to the Seventh Years, and smiled, "I don't have much in plan for you as all I can really direct you towards doing is reviewing material we've gone over. Come up to me and tell me whatever you're having difficulties with and I'll be happy to help." With that Veronika turned and marched back to her desk to go over a few more papers she had left to grade. |
