Divination: Lesson Three (All Years) Empty
PostSubject: Divination: Lesson Three (All Years)   Divination: Lesson Three (All Years) EmptySat Jul 18, 2015 1:14 am

Tad sat in his desk with his feet upon it. The idea that he had gotten this job in the first place made him laugh. He didn't believe in any of this crap, and yet he excelled in it. Perhaps it was the idea that he was feeding it in the minds of younger peoples. He could get them to believe anything. But first, he had to make sure they knew what the hell Divination even was. The students who took this class where probably nerds, and students who didn't know what they wanted to do with their lives, so they wanted Tad to show them a future they couldn't see themselves living.

And that's exactly why Tad loved Divination. It was all crap, yes, but the fact that he was controlling other people made this job the best in the world. He went to the board and wrote:

What is Divination? Please write in your own words and present a 250 word essay due by the end of class.

He laughed at himself. He was an evil man. He guessed he just made a Ravenclaw poop themselves because they had one hour to write 250 words on a topic that he hadn't even gone over yet. He couldn't wait to see the look on their faces. And he was about to. He sat back down on his desk and got out the Daily Prophet and began reading, not even acknowledging the students who came in. It was time to do what Tad was good at: Being a hard butt. This was going to be fun.

Sebastian listened to his mother at all times. It was simply the way he'd been brought up, to obey her and make sure he never made her unhappy. Which was why he was taking Divination. Honestly, the Ravenclaw thought it was a stupid subject, full of suspicion and not a lot of fact. Which, Sebastian didn't much like.

But he would rather be bored for an hour than face the wrath of his mama.

Stepping in to the room, Sebastian gave the professor a small smile, slipping in to one of the desks in the middle of the room before taking out his quill and notebook. Looking to the board, Sebastian was a bit put out by the subject in question, but decided to get on with it. After all, the quicker he got this done, the quicker he could probably leave.

Letting out a soft sigh, Sebastian started to write. His answer was vague, because he didn't really know what to write, but he kept trying to make sense of the subject. Which, was kind of ironic, based on the fact the subject didn't make much sense to start with.

With Naomi back in tow, the two Ravenclaws made their way up to Divination, quietly speculating on what they might be learning today. The replacement of the professor was one that made things much better, after all, there was only so much theory you could do before things became a little dull.

Holding the door open for his best friend, Finley followed her in to the room, moving towards the front of the room and taking a seat. He gave the professor a small smile, before turning his attention to getting his books and pen out for the lesson. It was only after he looked up again that Finley realised that the instructions were already on the board.

Looking to his best friend with a raised eyebrow, Finley tried to think of what he was going to write. This was, in his opinion, not going to be an easy task.

Naomi followed Finley up to the North Tower reluctantly. On the one hand, she really wanted to get a better grip on her Seeing and she was interested to see what the new professor had to teach on the subject. On the other hand, she really didn't want any more people than already knew to know about her Seeing, and the more she worked with it, the more likely it would be that somebody would find out.

With this in mind, Naomi settled next to Finley at the front of the room, snorting very softly at the directions on the board. Only 250 words in an hour? Given her special interest in the subject, Naomi had done loads of research. An essay that short would be a piece of cake.

Cranking out a detailed essay was no problem and Naomi wasn't surprised to see that it was closer to 350 words than 250. She had a lot to say on the subject, after all. She stood up to hand in the essay before sitting back down to wait for the end of class.

Noting that Naomi was getting straight on, Finley picked up his pen. Tapping his lip once, he began to write. Though he kind of knew what to write, he was a little bit uncertain on how much to delve in to the different branches of Divination, because there were a number.

Glancing sideways, Finley took a look at Naomi's essay, noting how she'd moved hers to an angle to make it easier to read. Murmuring a soft thanks to the witch that was almost devoid of a stutter, Finley scanned the page and picked out a few things to add to his own essay.

There was no doubt this would be one of Naomi's favourite classes, but for Finley it was one he wasn't quite sure on. But, soon enough, he too had finished his essay and followed Naomi up to the professor's desk to hand in his work. It was, perhaps, just a little over the word limit that had been asked for, but it was a decent enough essay for the beginning.

Lowering himself in to his seat, Finley looked sideways at Naomi. "D-do you think w-we'll get to d-do something else?" He whispered so only his best friend could hear.

Tad smirked as the children started writing the essays. The three children that had the guts to attend where all RAVENCLAWS. But to his dismay, one if the Claws seemed to know what she was doing. He eyed her suspiciously as she shared her paper with her friend. He was no idiot and knew what he was doing immediantly. He said, "3 points from Ravenclaw for the obvious cheating going on here. I will not inflict anymore punishments on either of you if you promise next time to use your own words Mr. Allen. You may go." He glared at the boy and the girl. Next time, cheating won't be tolerated. Tad put his feet on his desk, hoping to inflict fear upon them. Tad was not an idiot even though he was teaching an idiodic subject.

Ravenclaw- -6 points to Finley Allen and Naomi O'Hare -cheating-
Ravenclaw- +5 points to Sebastian Aquilla -Attendance

LESSON CLOSED.
