| *This class will take place inside an unused classroom.
Aimee sat at the mahogany desk, her hands folded as she waited for her students to enter. Behind her, on the board, was a picture of the creature they were studying today. Off to the side of the desk, was a travel cot that held the nearly nine month old baby, who happened to be fast asleep. The blinds of the classroom were opened, which allowed in the rare sunlight and all the dust had been scrubbed away by Aimee the night before.
Recently, Aimee had readjusted her nap schedule so that the baby's nap time would be during her class times. As she glanced down to the sleeping baby she smiled. Her brown hair was tousled about her head and her chest moved slowly up and down under the light green sea turtle jumper. The green of the clothing matched the green of Aimee's shirt which was accompanied with black slacks.
The woman's bright blue eyes trailed to the door as her students began trickling in. She hoped that the took her class because they enjoyed and and not because they had to. Aimee loved each and every one of her students and she cared about their grades and their lives but most importantly, she cared about them and wanted to be there if they ever needed her. It was one of the main reasons she became Slytherin Head of House. If Hogwarts had a counselor, she would have applied to be that instead. |

| Finding their lesson would be indoors today, Finley had been quite inquisitive as to what they would be doing this lesson. Naomi and he had discussed the possibilities over breakfast that morning, but neither of them could make a decisive decision as to what they would be learning.
Finley was quite sure it would be fun though, Professor Valentine seemed to know her stuff inside and out and he admired that in the witch.
Slipping in to the room - and holding the door for his best friend - Finley motioned to the front of class for them to head towards. Taking his seat at the front, Finley pulled out his books and pens, ready for the lesson. His eyes moved to the professor then, giving her a small smile because he was still a little uncertain with talking to people at the best of times.
There still didn't seem to be a clue as to the lesson, so Finley simply sat waiting for it to begin. |

| The summer had been a lot of fun for Sebastian. He'd gotten to know his friend a lot better over the summer, and despite feeling a little nervous about his growing feelings for Aiden, Sebastian had pushed them to the side for the sake of his friendship. After all, there was absolutely no way in the world that the Slytherin could feel the same way he did.
Venice had been so much nicer with his friend, and he hoped Aiden had enjoyed the sight seeing and other things they'd done.
To be honest, Sebastian's head was still swimming from the summer, so he hadn't realised he'd walked in to a classroom with a few other Ravenclaws for Care of Magical creatures until he'd sat down on his own and caught up with what he was doing. How odd that they would be indoors... Shrugging to himself, Sebastian took his books from his bag and got ready for the lesson ahead. |

| Quinn had no idea about anything Care of Magical Creatures had to offer. She knew some but not all. She took this class because she wanted to show her mother that she was there to learn and not joke around like what her mother thinks. When they finally left her father she promised that she was going to be better and she was going to do better and not turn out like him. And when Quinn promises something she means it, which is why she chose to buckle down and learn all that she can learn. Quinn walked to the Care of Magical Creatures class and saw that the Professor and two other students were there. Quinn looked around and saw that there was some pretty interesting things to look at, but then she looked at the Professor and waited for her to start teaching. Hopefully Quinn could keep up. |

| Travis had - he realised a little too late - overslept that morning, so when he roused from his slumber, he was alone in his dorm room. Letting out a soft groan as he rolled out of bed, the Hufflepuff quickly showered and changed in to his robes before heading off for Care of Magical Creatures.
Truth be told he wasn't overly interested in animals, so he was quite glad they would be inside for today's lesson. Slipping through the door just behind a fellow Hufflepuff. Slipping in to the desk beside his house mate, Travis crossed his arms on the desk and rested his head in them. Not sleeping, but not overly enthusiastic in getting ready for the class either.
"What's a guy got to do to get a copy of your notes?" Travis asked the witch beside him, his lips pulled up in to a hopeful smile that said he was willing to pay some price if he had to. |

| Damien's summer had ended and he felt good about it. At least now, he had something to put his mind at. Last year, he failed at making any friends but he felt that this year, he'd be successful at meeting someone whom he shared common interests with.
Care of Magical Creatures was one of Damien's first choices. He knew quite a bit about animals and magical creatures and he was excited for this class. He took a small glance at the professor and then looked away. Her face seemed sympathetic and it looked like she was inviting them in.
He slipped quietly into the class room and stood by the door for a few seconds before deciding to seat by the window in the second row of desks. He took out his pens and books and then took out the notebook where he wrote stories. He started writing to distract himself while the class didn't start. Damien, curious about his first lecture, tried to look at the board but it was already covered by some students' heads. He decided to wait for the lesson to start. |

| When a fellow Hufflepuff took the seat next to her, she just gave him a smile and waited for the Professor to start class. She didn't really know who the guy was but she did help him out once. When he asked about her notes she looked and him and nodded. "Well you could always pay attention and get your own notes and not copy from mine" she replied with the smile still on her face. She pulled out her notebook where she had her notes at but refused to open it because she was interested in what her fellow Hufflpuff had to say.
She watched him closely and could see that he didn't mind being in this class because he seemed to take a liking to laying his head down on the desk. She didn't know why he sat next to her, no one ever did and she was always okay with that. |

| Naomi slipped into class behind Finley, as per usual. The pair took seats in the front row, also a normal occurrence, but not before Naomi got a glimpse of Professor Valentine's baby on a small cot next to her desk.
"Your baby is beautiful, Professor," she told the woman shyly. "What's her name?" She hoped she wasn't overstepping, but it didn't feel like a rude question. Naomi was glad that Professor Valentine seemed happy and healthy after the birth.
Finally catching sight of the picture on the board, she leaned over to Finley to whisper "What on earth is that?" It was ridiculous looking, almost as it were part scorpion part... some sort of crustacean, maybe a crab or lobster. Naomi couldn't imagine any sort of practical use for the things, unless you could eat them? She wasn't sure she would even want to try. |
