Humphrey laughed at her explanation, a little concerned about that response but also amused. "Oh, of course everyone would. Didn't realize you were so confident about it, though." he said, still chuckling a little. He really should tease her to take that ego down a few pegs, but he couldn't bring himself to do it right now. When she told him being different was what made them friends he smiled and nodded. "Mmhmm. Would you maybe like to plan and execute a few pranks together? Haven't really pulled any since I've been there and I think that's a major oversight so far in my Hogwarts experience." Humphrey told her with a smirk.

Smiling when she sent him a glare back, he simply raised an eyebrow when she told him not to push it. Oh, it was kind of fun making her angry at him sometimes. "Fine, I'll say you are beautiful instead of cute. Would that be acceptable?" Humphrey asked, wondering how she was going to react this time. He knew it wasn't a good idea to push her too far, but sometimes he simply couldn't help himself when it came to things like this. Plus, he needed to figure out what would make her blush, because he rather liked seeing it.

Her exclamation made him roll his eyes at her. It was kind of obvious that he would miss her, anybody would be able to tell that much. Humphrey was finally making an awesome friend here, and she was important to him. "Well, duh. You're like, my best friend here." he replied. He really didn't have trouble believing she would sucker punch most people for telling her that, and he felt rather lucky that she hadn't. "Oh, I'm not too worried. I just have to figure out how to win you over somehow. Had an idea or two, but nothing seemed quite right yet." he explained. Humphrey kind of wanted to either write her something, or maybe sketch or do a painting of her. It was tough though, because he really didn't know which she would prefer. "I'm touched. Can I just say you are a really good snuggler? Or is that weird?"

She knew that she was kind of being conceded but she really didn't care. Brooklyn was who she was and there was nothing that anyone could do to change that. Yes Humphrey was making her a bit of a better person but she didn't know if she would fully change and be the girl that he liked. She really didn't want to think about that though, she was Brooklyn Rae and there was no way she was going to stop being conceded. "Hell yeah I am. I am confident about a lot of things" Brooke replied. When he talked about pranks, she thought about it. "Can we shave someone's head as a prank?" Brooklyn was great at sneaking into people's common rooms and pranking them when they least expected it.

When he talked about calling her beautiful instead of cute, she could only look at him. "Seriously Humpty?" Although a smirk was forming onto her face. Sometimes she didn't know if he was serious or not but why would he lie to her?

"Am I your only best friend?" She asked curious now that he was saying this to her. When Humphrey talked about winning her over, she sighed. She didn't know how to reply to that, no one has ever liked her like this and it was all really new to her. "Not sure, that's all you there buddy" she replied. When he talked about her being a good snuggler she shook her head. "That is a little weird, but nice."

Her response was about what he had expected, and Humphrey couldn't help laughing a little. For someone who struggled with confidence like he did sometimes it was kind of interesting to see somebody with as much as she had. It was also pretty funny to him sometimes, too. "So I'm learning Brooklyn, so I'm learning. Anything else you are confident about that I should be aware of?" he asked curiously. The question about if they could shave somebody's head made him pause for a moment while he thought about it. "Well, I don't see why we couldn't. Just make sure it is a jerk or something, would hate to do that to somebody nice." he told her. After all, having to go bald while they waited for their hair to grow back would be pretty rough for anybody he figured.

Humphrey looked right back at her and smiled widely. "Yes, I seriously think you are beautiful. Is that so surprising Brooke?" he asked, watching her as he waited for a response. He was pretty sure he wasn't the only person who thought she was, either. It was kind of hard not to notice the fact she was pretty.

Thinking about the question, Humphrey eventually nodded. "You are. I would say my sister, but I don't think siblings count as best friends, do they?" he asked, blushing a little bit at admitting that. "She's the only other person I'm close enough to that I would call them that." Humphrey explained. When she told him it was all him when it came to winning her over he merely nodded, expecting that. "I'll figure something out, don't worry." he told her with a wink. Weird but nice, he figured that was probably an accurate description of his comment. "A fair assessment."

She shrugged, if he had to ask then he didn't want to know what else she was confident in that he most likely was not. "Well Humpty Dumpty, if you have to ask then you do not want to know and trust me on that one oh dear one" she replied to him. She made a face when he said someone nice. No one was ever truly nice, they always had a hidden agenda. "No one is truly nice so if I feel like it buddy, then I will shave anyone's head if I want to" no one could ever tell her no because she'd just do it anyway. It was who Brooke was and there was nothing anyone could do to change that.

"Yes" was her response. No one ever thought that about her and if they did then there was something that they wanted from her and it would mean that there was no way anyone was getting it from her either because she'd probably stab someone.

"No Humphrey, I don't think so" she replied to his question. All she could do was laugh and it was a genuine laugh, not an evil type of laugh that she usually did.
