| The first answer that came had Jake smiling at the Ravenclaw who was speaking, nodding his head in encouragement as she answered. "Very good, Naomi!" Jake replied once the witch had finished. "Take five points for Ravenclaw for your answer!" Jake added, because he liked to encourage participation with rewards like that.
Next to speak was Victoria, and Jake smiled as she explained the Quidditch balls in more depth. With a nod, and a pause to see if anyone would add anything, Jake continued. "Very good, Victoria. That's one of the balls in question, yes. However, today we are going to be focusing on the use of the Quaffle." Jake explained, looking around the group. "What you will be doing is taking a Quaffle in a small group and passing it around, trying to keep your broom steady at all times. You should start with smaller passes to start with if you haven't played Quidditch before, and move further away from each other as you grow in confidence."
With a pause to make sure that people had understood, Jake jumped off of the box, and took opened it, taking out three shrunken Quaffles. With a quick flick of his wand, Jake put them back to the original size and offered them to whoever stepped forward.
"Good luck everyone! I'll be flying with you, to check how you're getting on and help where necessary!" Jake explained with a warm smile. ________________________________________________~ Auror ~ Profile ~ DADA Professor ~ ~ In a Relationship ~ 36 ~ Father ~ 6' ~ American Accent ~

| Ah, Quidditch. Miles had grown some skill in flying over the last few years and even had played with other wizards out of school, but he had not given it a go yet at school, at least not outside training or giving a hand to the teams if he could.
To be fair, he had been studying hard for the first years, and the O.W.L last year. But now he was a bit more confident in the other classes as to even consider joining the Quidditch team for his next year if they would accept him. It all depended on how well he performed today, and if he had not got a bit rusty since the summer games before this year.
In any light, it was good to be out of class, and Miles grabbed one of the Quaffles before getting into the air in a flash. "Let's give it a go, guys!" He said, and tested a long distance throw to the scoring goals. He managed to get it through though barely, since he'd thrown it from the middle of the pitch and it had lost much of its speed. |

| When they were told to give the sport a go, Finley wasn't overly sure on it. Looking sideways to Naomi, he gave the witch a small, hopeful smile and mounted up on his broom. Hopefully this wouldn't end up in disaster of any kind, though Finley knew he was probably asking for a little bit too much in that respect.
Once he'd mounted the school broom, Finley kicked off, following a fellow Ravenclaw up. Perhaps the older boy hadn't heard they were supposed to be passing the Quaffle around, Finley wasn't overly sure. But when he saw the boy put the ball through the hoops, Finley smiled at the older boy.
"T-that was g-good!" Finley told the boy, urging his broom forward to try to go and get the ball. Throwing it was going to be difficult for the younger Ravenclaw because he wasn't very good at holding his broom still, but he was going to give it a shot. Once he'd caught up with the ball that had gone through the hoops, Finley turned his broom and moved back towards the older boy, leaving about ten to fifteen metres between them.
Lifting the ball, whilst still holding on to his broom with the other hand, Finley threw the ball as far as he could towards the boy, hoping it would get there as his hands quickly moved back to the broom, holding on for dear life.
Whether or not the ball got there, Finley was proud of himself, because he'd tried something new and not messed it up, too badly. |

| With the choice of activity for today, Victoria beamed. She played Quidditch herself, though she was a Seeker, and she loved it. It was intoxicating the amount of adrenaline that came from flying, and that was from a witch who wasn't too much of a thrill seeker.
When they were told to take a Quaffle, Victoria followed the two Ravenclaw boys to the sky, deciding to make up a three with the two of them. After all, there was more fun in doing group work.
Victoria flew a little closer to Finley, quite aware of the boy's capabilities from previous classes. And she was right for doing so. The moment Finley threw the ball, Victoria simply knew the boy's throw was not going to make it to the other boy, Miles, and so she hurried towards the ball, catching it mid-flight and pulling it towards her chest. "Good throw, Finley!" The witch praised, turning her broom, and throwing it carefully, but properly towards Miles.
"Catch, Miles!" She called out, making sure the Ravenclaw was ready for the Quaffle to come his way. ________________________________________________

| Jake had watched the three that had taken to the skies with interest, quite proud to see Finley taking to the action despite his ability not being one of the best in the class. And, to be fair, he did a good job to control the broom and throw the Quaffle, even if it didn't end up in the right place.
Not to mention, of course, that the older students also did well.
However, time seemed to have gone much faster than Jake had anticipated, and it was time to call the session to an end. "Okay everyone, that's all for today!" Jake called out, summoning the Quaffle back to him and putting it away. "I hope you all have a great summer, stay safe and I'll see you next year!" Jake told them, before motioning that they could leave now.
