| Being back on the Quidditch pitch made Jake nervous. Weirdly. The ex-Quidditch star had taken a moment to simply marvel at the pitch for a moment before mounting his broom. The Firebolt Three, fresh from production after the advertising campaign he'd aided, perfectly polished and engraved with his initials.
It was after one euphoric lap around the pitch that Jake remembered he was not that person anymore and came back down to the soft ground. Flying had always been exhilarating to him, and he'd forgotten that in the twelve months he'd left the sport.
But now was not the time for reminiscing.
Lining up all the brooms for the students who may not own one, Jake readied himself for the group of students. Today was going to be a mixed level of talent, so he hoped the choice of activity he had in mind would suit the majority. For now though, he simply had to wait for the students to arrive.
And he did so by leaning on his broom, watching the entrance to the pitch with a soft smile on his lips. ________________________________________________~ Auror ~ Profile ~ DADA Professor ~ ~ In a Relationship ~ 36 ~ Father ~ 6' ~ American Accent ~

| Flying wasn't compulsory at Hogwarts, not that it had been at Salem either, but Victoria felt she still needed to go. To support her older brother in his teaching because she knew he worked hard at everything he did in life. His lessons were just one example of that.
So with a smile on her lips and her custom made (pink wood, Firebolt Two) broom, Victoria had hurried down to the pitch to hopefully be the first person down on the pitch. The pitch wasn't a new place for Victoria, after having made the Hufflepuff team last year, she'd become quite used to the training pitch. And, with an older brother like Jake, you were never far from the Quidditch Pitch anyway.
As she stepped through the entrance, Victoria noted Jake immediately and quickened her pace to reach him. "Hi Jake!" She greeted the professor with a grin. "Ready for your lesson?" Victoria continued with a smile, waiting to see who else would be joining the lesson today. ________________________________________________

| The wind in her hair, the sun on her cheeks, and the utter weightlessness she felt when she was in the air - no, Amalia was fairly certain that nothing else in the world could compare to flying. Much to her parents initial distain, Quidditch had quickly become one of her hobbies, and Amalia was proud to say she had been on the house team since her fourth year. It had taken a while, but the witch had eventually earned the respect of most her teammates, and she was now valued for her position.
The Slytherin all but flounced onto the pitch, walking down through the entrance with her brand spanking new broom over her shoulder. Amalia was ever so proud of the thing; a Thunderbolt Seven, personalised with a golden engraving of her initials and a small heart on the handle. She was fairly sure that she valued it more than her own life.
"Professor, Victoria," she greeted the two, polite as ever. Her hair was pulled back into an impeccably neat braid, and she smiled easily as she waited to see who else would turn up. |

| Flying. Finley was not very good at Flying, much like everything else in this stupid magical world. Okay, it wasn't stupid, but Finley was getting frustrated with the whole not being able to do anything like everyone else. Finley didn't have a broom, because his parents didn't understand the concept of their only son flying.
Therefore, the only time he could practice was in these lessons.
Going through everything in his head from last year's lesson, Finley walked straight in to the side of the Quidditch pitch without even seeing it, ending up falling on his backside because he'd jumped so much. Thankfully... it seemed no one was around so he'd gotten away with that. Hurrying through the actual entrance to the pitch, Finley could see there were only three people here, one of which was the Professor, the other the Head Girl, and the last a Slytherin he didn't know.
Hurrying to the Professor's side (it was always safest to stand next to the professor, where possible), Finley smiled at the two girls and then looked up at the Professor. "G-good morning, s-sir." Finley managed, looking towards the entrance to see who else might be joining them. |

| Flying wasn't a lesson Josh needed. He was amongst the best fliers in the school, hence his position on the team since his second year (and captaincy since his third year) but he figured he could have a lesson in which it didn't matter. Also, it would be amazingly fun to watch some of the younger students struggling with their flying at the same time.
Heading in to the familiar pitch, Josh took a look around the stadium briefly before heading over to the group that had formed. No one of interest, but that was usual really. Well, perhaps the Sørensen witch, they were from the same kind of background, but the values of the Pureblood world were quickly fading.
"Professor." Josh acknowledged the man before him, despite knowing full well that Professor Newbury despised the term. It was funny, that the man would think that it would make him more approachable if he insisted on them using his first name. Josh didn't buy in to it though. |

| Flying! This was a class for him to goof off and have some fun! Sure tossing a firecracker in someone's cauldron was fun too but less likely to blow up and maim someone. He flicked his lighter a little as he walked, watching the small flame bob up and down.
He groaned a little when he saw the sight of the large mass of Murray, couldn't he please catch a break! He shrugged pocketing the lighter and taking both hands on his Thunder Bolt 99, a rather old school broom that he been updated for his Quidditch needs.
Gabriel laughed a little "What's up? Weird isn't it? One of the few things I show up for On time. Hey Teach." He said in a casual voice spotting Victoria's pink broom "Murray could you do me a huge, huge favor next game against Hufflepuff? Break that broom, it hurts the eyes!" He said in mock drama, he loathed the colour pink and everything about it. |

| This was the year! Louise had loved watching Quidditch matches but up until now she'd never really gotten around to trying out for the team, hopefully this year she could manage it. Even with an obvious handicap, or perhaps it was because of it she wanted to try more than ever.
The Slytherin very nearly ran to the Quidditch pitch but kept to a brisk walk, her old beaten firebolt under her arm, she'd managed to leave Professor in her room this time, he was terrified of flying besides, unless he was hiding in her hood while she practiced over the summer. She could see some people already at the pitch and slid in behind them all while making sure the harness she'd gotten was on properly and testing the calliper to make sure she could clip and unclip it from the broom in a moment's notice.
"Morning Professor." She called out and smiled, feeling like she could take on the world right now, ah so good to be back. |

| The first person bounding up to his lesson was perhaps the one Jake really needed. Whenever he had doubt in anything there were two people who could eradicate it. Marilyn, and Victoria. So seeing the latter made Jake relax and greet her with a soft hello and then a nod when she asked if he was ready for today's lesson. He thought he was, anyway.
Everyone else followed in soon after, Jake nodding in response to each of their greetings. However, Jake's back was put up a little bit by one Gryffindor's comment. Well, a lot, actually.
"Murray could you do me a huge, huge favour next game against Hufflepuff? Break that broom, it hurts the eyes!"
"Mr MacKay, I would like to remind you that number one, you will not address me as 'Teach' ever again. And number two, if you ever think of bullying another student again, you will find yourself in detention for the rest of the year." Jake told the boy, managing somehow to keep his tone even. Thankfully for the boy, Jake had not looked to his sister, otherwise the boy would have had detention.
"Now." Jake continued, counting to ten in his head to calm himself down. "Today we are going to go over the basics, I am aware some of you will be much more advanced than others, but please don't be disheartened, we'll move on with each person individually. Now, to start, we'll go with the simple skill of mounting the broom, kicking off and hovering. Please be warned that if anyone does more than this, I will march you straight off the pitch. Now, please begin." Jake instructed the class. ________________________________________________~ Auror ~ Profile ~ DADA Professor ~ ~ In a Relationship ~ 36 ~ Father ~ 6' ~ American Accent ~

| Gabriel froze at the Professors words directed at him, he rubbed the back of his head nervously giving a sheepish grin "Sorry Professor." He said about the first part but frowned as he heard the second request "I didn't mean it, wouldn't ask Murray for anything..." He mumbled looking over at Victoria "Sorry if I offended you, just not big on the colour."His voice was polite and he gave a small bow of the head.
With that little part out of the way he looked at Professor Newbury, listening to the instructions although boring and a dull for his liking. The man was a big Quidditch star after all, he might learn something worth while.
Mounting his Thunder Bolt, looking at the rest of the students before lightly kicking off the ground. This action made him hover in the air, though it was bobbing a little he was resisting the temptation to just bolt and fly to his hearts continent. |

| Victoria had been quite happy seeing everyone turn up to the lesson. It meant they were quite happy to come and see Jake's teaching skills, or fly if nothing else. It would be fun, Victoria was quite sure of that much.
"Murray could you do me a huge, huge favor next game against Hufflepuff? Break that broom, it hurts the eyes!"
Victoria's breath had hitched at those words, eyes widening to large orbs as he looked at the Gryffindor who'd said such a thing. Hurt touched Victoria's features briefly because one, he had been quite rude about something she owned, and two, he was talking about destroying something for absolutely no reason. But before the witch could conjure up the words to tell him that he shouldn't say such things, her brother had stepped in and the boy was apologising.
"Sorry if I offended you, just not big on the colour."
"Just because you don't like, or understand something, doesn't mean it shouldn't exist." Victoria told the boy with a small smile, before concentrating back on her brother. The witch didn't hold grudges, nor was there a mean bone in her body, so after that, it was forgotten to the witch.
Thankfully Jake continued with his class a moment later, and Victoria took in the instructions with a small nod of her head before following them. Delicately placing one leg over the broom, Victoria made sure she was comfy in her broom and then gently kicked off from the ground, hovering just above the ground as her grin grew. Flying was amazing, who'd have thought not even two years ago she could never have done this? ________________________________________________
