| Jackson Blake,
Hello, this is Sasha who you met around Christmas time in New York. I'm not sure why I'm even writing to someone who I barely know but I decided to do it.
How was your New Year? Mine wasn't really anything special. Just spent it mostly alone and did watch fireworks later that night. So yeah nothing special. I hope yours was more fun than mine.
The book you did buy for me was actually interesting. I do like it. So thank you for that and also thank you for making my Christmas time to be more fun. It was one of the most amazing and unforgettable nights for me.
My life has been good, well so good as it can be. How are you doing?

RE: Beautiful Stranger
Hey there, Sasha. How lucky can a guy get when you actually write to him? I've come to learn it's a commitment not many keep.
My New Year's was pretty good, I went back home to Green Lake and Merida (my mother). While big cities are noisy and full of tourists this time of year, everything's quieter back home. We're still old school in that we believe in family dinners on holidays so not many people hanging out at the mall or the bar (yes, we only have one of each).
Merida got a free turkey from work and she was saving it until I got home. We had a right feast on New Year's Eve. And turkey sandwiches the next day.
I'm glad you enjoyed Kit Harrington's book. The one bookstore in Green Lake doesn't have any of his works but I'll send you the first volume of the one you read when I'm back in Milwaukee.
When do you get back to university? Taking any good classes this semester? planning a trip back to the good ole' U S of A anytime soon?

| Jackson,
I have no idea how happy it made you. Anyways yeah not many write these letters nowadays yes.
Oh, at least yours was interesting. I did have good dinner but yeah my parents were somewhere else the business trip. So I spent it alone. I've used to this already. I never hang around mall or bar by myself.
Sure you can send me the next one yes. It would be nice to have something interesting to read at times when I want to read something else that my school books.
Well, I'm already back there. The classes are good so far. Even if some teachers give so much homework. So doing them all away takes so much effort for sure. Right now I don't have yet any plans to go to New York. Just right now I try to focus on my school work.

RE: Beautiful Stranger
Hi Sasha, sorry for the late reply, I've been swamped at work this past week. A couple of emergencies decided to crop up at work around the same time I returned to Milwaukee after new years and now we're all in damage control mode. I don't know how much American news you follow but lets just say its quite the situation we have on our hands.
Though I wouldn't subject a lady like yourself to the gory details. Let's just say a lot of untoward behavior was recorded on camera and is making the news rounds.
I haven't had a spare minute to go to the bookstore, so thank fuck heavens for online shopping and deliveries. I got the first volume of the poetry books as promised. I personally liked it a lot because it talks of the man who has everything and yet can never sleep easy. I would have had the book delivered straight to your university but I still don't know where that is.
It sounds like things haven't changed much since I was a student. I did a general business degree so people weren't as uptight. But we still got the few idiots who took themselves too seriously. I was just happy to get my degree and leave... Though lately I've been considering business school. What do you think?
What are you studying? Do you like it on an academic level or are you just in it for the degree too? A smart girl like you can do anything she sets her mind to I bet.

| Jackson,
It's totally okay. I have been busy with my homework too. So I forgive you for taking so long time for replying back.
Oh sorry, I haven't really followed the American news lately. So not sure what exactly is going on. I have been too much focused on my grades right now, then news around me.
I think it would best if you send it to the post office and I can collect it myself there. Just my roommates are very noisy ones, I don't trust them yet. So you can send it to this address: P O Box, 2563, Hogsmeade Post Office, Scotland.
Well, I guess it won't changes for a while. Well if you really like the business then you should give it try. It's basically up to you if you are willing to go through again all the studying.
At the moment I'm still doing foundation course since I haven't exactly decided in what to major. Just I haven't found what is the right major for me. I hope I will figure it out at some point.

RE: Beautiful Stranger
Gosh Sash, gotta tell you, you're sure easy to live with. No over the top enthusiasm, no "I have full faith in you", no annoying pink cards. And most of all non of that pretentiousness I've come to despise over the years. Thank you for not turning into a gush monster the moment I mentioned business school, it made me feel a whole better.
I have to say, I'm really starting to like your subtle qualities, Ms. Denver.
I can't relate to annoying roommates since I was working through my bachelors degree so I didn't stay on campus. I had a studio which was largely used by a friend seeing as I slept at the office most nights. First year at Milwaukee City Hall is no joke.
I'm not as much interested in further education as I am in an advanced degree. For my career, it's usually good to get a masers level education is some kind of discipline. A lot of our older legislators are doctors who haven't practiced a day in their life. Of course, their degrees are honorary, and I haven't done anything to be awarded one yet so its good old fashion back to school option for me.
So if you know of a university handing out free diplomas, please let me know! Joking!
Have a good day, Sasha. You deserve it.

| Jackson,
Well, I have never been a person like that and never will be probably. I have never really been very enthusiastic about things in my life. Basically, it's your life and you can what you want with it.
Oh, I see. I could have got myself apartment instead of the dorm on campus but I didn't really like the idea living there alone. Just basically my parents were always away due to their work, so the big house was mostly for myself, yes some maids and nanny were there but this was still lonely. So having these annoying roommates is right now a good thing for me, even if I don't trust them. Then again your probably one of first people I did trust so easily.
Well, I guess yeah further education is a good idea. Not sure where you should get it. It's totally up to you what you will do with your life. I can't say what you should do. I'm still trying to figure out mine even. It's not easy to figure out what I wanna do.
I have thought of majoring in art, then again business seems to be an option for me too. Then there are few more majors I could really take. I hope I can decide soon what I wanna do really in my future.
Hahaha, very funny. I wish there was university like that. Would be so much easier to get the degree.
You should have a good day too, Jackson.

RE: Beautiful Stranger
Hey Sash,
Don't mind the excessively bad handwriting, I've just had the displease of coming across a truly horrific bit of mail. Honestly, i was about to put my fist through a wall until I saw the next letter with your name on it. It calmed me down a little.
I wish I could send you a happier note but things at work have continued to be trying and then this... little uppity, snobbish bitch writes to me to "forgive" me. Can you imagine the gall of some people? I apologize for my crude language but some people have their heads so far up their own asses, they don't even know how full of shit they are. I truly hope you don't know anyone like that.
I have to distract myself, otherwise I'm going to head down to the bar and grab a can of beer, and then all those years of hard work will be down the train. That's why I'm writing to you immediately instead of waiting til the end of the work day.
Actually, I want to take this time to really thank you. I never thought you'd keep in touch with me after our Christmas date but you've been writing consistently and still managed to not be overly intrusive. They sure don't make them like that anymore, at least not in the States.
Tell me more about you Sasha. What's your favorite color? Your favorite food? What kind of weather do you prefer? Any friends from childhood you still see? Anything, just keep writing, I want to get to know you better and I guess we have no choice but to do it the old school way. Merida will be giddy if I ever tell her I have a "pen pal".
Speaking of Merida, when you're on break you should totally visit the US. I'd be happy to show you some proper art and business schools. And if you're up for it, we can even visit Green Lake. it looks like we're finally going to get funding for that hospital we've been petitioning. Just imagine, by this time next year, there will be an honest to god hospital in Green Lake City!

| Jackson,
It's fine don't worry. At least I managed to read it at the end. I'm glad that my letter could calm you down a little at least.
Oh wow. All letters can't be always happy ones. Don't worry I'm not offended or anything about it. I know some people can be awful yes and thank god I don't have someone like this in my life. At least I'm not aware of I have someone.
Getting drunk won't be yes worth it. Just keep yourself distracted some other way.
To be honest, I'm not sure why I did it, I haven't still figured it out after all these letters. For some reasons, I like the idea of having "pen-pal" to whom to write at times.
Let me see. At the moment for some reason my favourite colours seem to be black and purple, don't ask why I'm not sure exactly why. Favourite food is hard to tell since I basically eat anything, I'm not really picky about it. Over years I actually have become to like rainy days, don't have anything against sunny days too. I don't talk much with my childhood friends anymore, they have their own life now and well we haven't talked for awhile.
I have no idea what my parents will think once I tell that I write letters to someone who I barely know. Actually, I still don't talk much with them.
That idea sounds actually nice. Mostly business is more likely what my father would like me to study, he is a businessman. As far as I know, he owns some hotels, I don't know all details of his business. And art is something I like myself, well drawing basically but everything about art is interesting too.
Oh, I'm glad you guys finally get that funding for your hospital. It would nice to see your hometown one day. Not sure when it will happen of course.

RE: Fantastic News
Hey Sash, guess what?
Someone you know - and happen to have written several letters to - just secured a thirty million dollar donation for his campaign! That's right baby, Jackson's running for the senate! We are officially ready, funded and good to go. The first thing I'm going to do is get a giant bus with my freaking face on it!
Okay, let me start from the start. You remember the man whose book launch we met at? Mr. Harrington? Well, I was in New York to kind of suss his political affiliations out. He's from California so I was 80% sure the blues got to him but they didn't. I asked his assistant for an appointment and I finally got one yesterday! At first he didn't even remember me but he remembered the "pretty red haired lady" with me and we got to talking. I told him how much you were enjoying his books.
He's not a complete stranger actually, I used to go to school with his daughter. She was a bit older than I and later she became my teacher. She died many years ago and I first met him when I showed up for the funeral. We were in Salem so Mr. Harrington always kept an open invite to any Nightshade (long story).
So we got to talking and I really got a chance to explain my vision. He wasn't too thrilled about the republicans - which is understandable given the recent scandal - but in the end he said he could get behind my vision. Next thing I know, his accountant is giving me a check for 30 million dollars! Thirty Fucking Million! I haven't seen so much money in my entire life, I'll tell you that right now.
Of course, I'll need almost every penny of that to run a successful, winning campaign. But I may have have a few hundred dollars leftover. Which brings us to the package attached to this letter. I hope you like it, I got one for you and one for Merida!
And before you say no, you absolutely deserve it. Not only have you been supporting me through the roughest time in my career so far but you're the reason Kit Harrington even remembers my face. So you definitely deserve a gift for all your help!
Jackson
PS: Just reread this letter over and realized it was all about me, but I hope you'll indulge me just this once, dear lady, as I am over the moon. This week started out horribly and ended on the most perfect note ever. I guess I just needed to get all the extra, unnecessary baggage out of my life for things to start looking up.
