"I don't think Thomas and Lynette miss anyone else," Jacques corrected ever so gently, a fond smile playing on his lips. The twins were inseparable, had been since birth, and they paid little mind to those around them.

"She's forgiven you, then, for stealing me away from her?" Jacques joked lightly. There had never been an option for Shiera and him, but the Zeverai's had thought they had a chance.

Mimosa's lingering presence was one he knew.

"You must be tired from the day's exertion..." He suggested gently, though he didn't make to move away from her. "Shall we?"

The ploy to distract his wife had not worked. Jacques could feel the tension in her body reverberating in the room, and the guilt of trying to dissuade her from such things settled.

"Talk? About what, mon chouchou?" Jacques would ask, a playful smile set upon his lips. Of course he knew, but the man would always give his wife the feeling of having won him over with her words.

A trick he'd learned a long time ago to make her feel like she was the smartest witch on the planet.

His body had cottoned on.

Only his brain resisted.

Mimosa's words brought a smile to the man's lips, a smile that was caught by hers as she laid another purposefully 'missed' kiss to him. The future Lord Clement drew the witch closer, and pressed a soft kiss to her lips, a show he understood.

Agreed, perhaps wasn't quite the notion he would convey, but Mimosa had never noticed.

And if he closed his eyes as he pressed the next kiss to her lips, it almost didn't matter, either.

For the human mind was quite powerful, and the imagination could obtain what reality could not.

So long as she was happy.

The witch leaned into his kiss, pressing one in return as her hand on the stiff material of his collar edged towards the first button. She could never actually undo it, it would hurt her slender fingers.

But Jacques knew that, all he ever needed was an indication.

And that much, her frail body could always provide.

The man felt her attempts, and without words, he moved to prize the top button undone for her. Always the hardest, Mimosa had always struggled, the Clement heir allowed her to take it from there, prizing the next buttons open.

Though, truthfully, Jacques wouldn't give her time to concentrate on that, turning them around so that the witch's back was against the wall, Jacques' hands moved to his wife's waist, drawing up her dress as the kisses deepened with a fire not meant for the couple.

Mimosa was compliant, that was what she had always been.

And his struggle remained.

The man's hands worked to lift the witch to his height, the kisses coming much more easily as her legs wrapped around his waist. Slender and possessive of him, it was easy to mistake them for anothers...

But he couldn't.

As his hands freed his hips from the trousers, Jacques' hands became gentle. Snaking between his lady's thighs, he would be diligent enough to make sure she was ready, and even if she showed that, he'd bring her to a release, easing her muscles in to a relaxation before he brought them together.

To ensure he didn't hurt her.

Again.
