| Lesson Plans - Fall Term Witches and Gentlewizards, welcome to your first semester of 2027 at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. in accordance with the new lesson structures, you will find listed below all subjects on offer for the fall term, along with who will be teaching them, what the lessons entail, how the professor in charge should act/behave and other details to enrich your RP experience. Information provided below is only a guideline for you to flesh out later as you RP. Keep in mind, our strict professors will be shadow reading all your class threads to ensure realism and proper characterisation. Subject: | Arithmancy | Professor: | Adelaide Goshawk (NPC) | Topic: | The Number 7 | Lesson Plan: | Adelaide usually begins her class by warning them the lesson is not for those easily distracted. The lecture will be delivered through visual aids with only a few questions asked to students who look like they aren't paying attention. Adelaide usually gives a lot of homework to emphasise the lesson taught. | Mood: | Strict/Stern, does not allow latecomers. |
Subject: | Charms | Professor: | Amanda Hanzel (NPC) | Topic: | Back to Basics: Wingardium Leviosa! | Lesson Plan: | Revising a classic, Professor Hanzel has managed to organise a little contest to see who can levitate the heaviest objects in the classroom. Proficiency with the charm will depend on student year and level of skill with a wand. | Mood: | Happy/Jolly/Excited. Amanda Hanzel is known for showing off pictures of her twin daughters to anyone who would see them. |
Subject: | Divination | Professor: | Clara Kent (NPC) | Topic: | Meditation | Lesson Plan: | Before one can begin to explore if they have the gift, they must learn to align their physical and mental faculties together. Meditation the traditional way might work but this lesson will focus on finding a position each student feels both comfortable and aware of their internal self in. Bouncy/hyper students will find this a challenge! | Mood: | Amusing/Casual/Cool - Clara is one to share in the joke rather than reprimand someone for making it. |
Subject: | Flying | Professor: | Kiranjeet Kaur (NPC) | Topic: | Dodge, Bob & Weave | Lesson Plan: | It will come as a great surprise to those who do not subscribe to Hogwarts' rife gossiping circles when they step out on the Quidditch Pitch to be met by an International Superstar! Kiranjeet Kaur, Malaysian Seeker and World Cup Winner is there to teach the children how to fly! The lesson will split the group in to two -- those who are able to fly, and those who are new to it. The capable flyers will be sent off to try an obstacle course in the sky that will help to improve the slyers ability to (you got it) dodge, bob and weave quickly through oncoming obstacles -- kindly set up and controlled than one Jacques Clement.
For those still learning, you'll get an almost one on one with the International Quidditch Star as she teaches you how to gain control of the brooms provided, mount them, and do your first attempt at low level flying. | Mood: | Having never taught before, it's quite clear Kiranjeet is neverous as she first introduces herself to the class. But her love for children, and flying, quickly gets her through that as she dives in to teaching all those in attendance as much as she can within the lesson slot. |
Subject: | Potions | Professor: | Azalea (Murray) Harrington | Topic: | Ingredient Substitutes | Lesson Plan: | One of the problems potioneers everywhere face is the shortage of ingredients. This lesson is designed around almost complete potions that are missing one to three ingredients. Students tasks are to identify the missing ingredients and then use replacements for them to complete the potion. | Mood: | Usually calm, friendly and kind, Azalea appears preoccupied and jumpy today, though not overtly Astute observers however will certainly see signs of her unease. |
So now that you know what's on offer, how do you participate in a class. Firstly, we highly encourage you to read the Student HandBook. Once you have done that, you will have a better idea of what is expected of you as a student. Next, you may either reach out to someone to RP with or decide to do a solo thread. Either way, you may create a topic with the class tag clearly written in the title (i.e. "CLASS: Charms: Mimosa, Mercy and Mariah") Post according to the rules set out for a three person thread and you're on your way! Finally, when the thread is complete, please submit the details of the lesson to this thread as a reply using the form below. - Code:

Only complete lessons/threads will be awarded points. Incomplete lessons may be submitted for review by the admin team but there is no guarantee they will be counted. Extenuating circumstances may apply however. So go out there and have fun learning! Let the race for the House Cup, begin! | |
