Jacques had made his mind up now, he didn't like Professor Ellingston in the slightest. Of all the professors he might have been able to tolerate, Professor Ellingston had now become the least likely to achieve that. Glaring up at the older man, Jacques didn't move from his spot, even as Felix moved to clear up her mess.
Good, Jacques thought to himself, perhaps she'll realise that she can't be stupid!
"Jacques, I haven't seen you do anything. Please continue where she left off."
Just as he was about to sneak away, as well. Jacques moved to the door, taking a step just inside and looking at what was left to fix. Both of them knew that he couldn't do anything of use. He was a first year, and had barely covered the basics of any magic, let alone magic strong enough to stick furniture quite well to the ceiling.
"I think you've made a mistake, professor. If Felix can't fix this, how in Merlin's name do you think I can?" Jacques asked, his tone showing that he thought the professor was some kind of idiot. "Seeing as I can't do anything, I think I will go and grab something to eat before the lesson starts. That's okay with you, right?" He asked, daring the man to say no to him as he looked up at the man his father had thought highly of. Well, that was going to change when he wrote home, Jacques was sure of it.
