| For the past seven years, Cole had been coming to this class, and he did okay in it, and he loved animals, especially his cat Hermes since she was his favorite, and he had done his best to rush his breakfast, but he took forever on making his hair look nice since his hair looked horrid when it was not neatly done.
The seventeen year old loved his hair, well he loved himself period and he knew he was truly Mr. Perfect, as he made his way to Care for Magical Creatures which was taught by the headmaster, it seemed sad that it came to having headmasters teach classes, since wouldn't they have more important things to do than teach students.
As he had came he saw that the class had already started and he shook his head he was late, and he knew now he had to apologize and he soon had come close to see they would be learning about thestrals and he smiled.
The boy soon got to class and he saw Professor Jameson and he said. " Professor I am so sorry I was late. " said Cole as he had his arms crossed, and hoped it would go over well. Then soon Cole looked and he soon looked and heard someone say they could touch them and he smiled. |

| Sophie had enjoyed Care for Magical Creatures, since she loved animals and loved being able to touch and play with them. As well as getting a grade for it, and she had been studying to the point where she overslept as she soon walked out of the castle to class.
The fifteen year old had enjoyed being outside as well, but not enough to play Quidditch unlike her older brother as she soon and soon she had saw the class and as she got closer she saw no creature what in the world would they be learning.
As she approached the class she still could not she the animal and she soon looked and saw her brother and she rolled her eyes and wondered if he could see them, since she knew she could not see them and she soon saw the Professor.
Then thinking of a way in which she could apologize, and soon she walked up to the headmaster and she soon said.
" Morning Professor Jameson, and I am sorry I am late, and what are learning about since I cannot see the creature. " said Sophie confused as she had her arms crossed.
Since she would like to know what something was before she learned it as she stood confused and she hoped that this could be easy. |

| Alberi hardly noticed that people were coming. He was too engulfed by the thestrals. Something about them... It made him uneasy. As if they knew about his worst time, as if the were just waiting to kill you. Suddenly, he missed the hippogriff from three years ago. Looking back, that creature looked simply like a child's game. But this thing... Honestly, it creeped him out. The way it looked, it's black eyes pouring into you... No matter at which one his eyes went to, they all seemed to have their attention at him. 'If you show your fear, everyone would notice,' his father would say, so be sure to watch out. The thing was... Alberi couldn't. He might have been sorted in Gryffindor but it was only to learn so lesson. A lesson the wouldn't manage to learn. "Yes, Alberi, they're supposed to be here." he heard the teacher ask. Wait, yes to what... He closed his eyes and took a breath. Don't look at them... Oh god, what the hell did he ask! Just don't look at them... 'I'm just making a fool of myself at the moment...' Taking in one more breath, he looked towards the ground. Anything but those... Putting his hands into fists, he opened his eyes and noticed that his book had fallen down. That was good. Well, not that it had fallen... But at least now, he could distract himself a bit from the... things in front of him. They were... Crouching down, he reached down to take the book, only to get distracted by the shadows of the creatures. Of course, they just had to have a shadow... For crying out loud, what was he even thinking! Of course they had a shadow. Get your head together, Alberi Woodston.Sighing, he tried to put his attention to the class. Anything that could take his attention away from the... Wait, they technically would still be talking about them... But at least he wouldn't be seeing them. However, it seemed that he had missed out the question that the professor had given. Not that he really had an idea what this was - learning animals, even magical, just wasn't his thing. There were much more interesting things... Thestral. Whatever this was, it was a thestral. And it could be seen by someone who has witnessed death. Alberi widen his eyes. From all the things in the world, it had to be just that... The boy didn't even listen on, it was enough for him. Though he did hear words such a 'carnivorous' and 'wild'. However, now he was thinking of the one memory he had tried to oppress and the one memory he had forced himself to forget about. - Flashback - contains suicide:
His first year at school. Back then, he still wasn't as cold as now. Antisocial, yes, but not cold. His father was a business man, a successful one at that. When he was home, others like him would come, some bringing kids along, something along the lines of playing with Alberi, though they never got in deep conversations. Some were stuck up and simply dealt with their looks or were too boring to talk to. Others simply chose not to talk. Third felt awkward around Alberi and left him, especially when he was the visitor.
One of the families, the Vaisey family, often came over. They had two kids, a son named Edward and a daughter named Elisabeth. The boy preferred to go to who knows where, while the girl was always quiet. Alberi liked when they came over, because it meant time to read books without being interrupted. Plus, Elisabeth would often help him when he had a hard time with words. It was a nice time for him, so to speak.
However, the first day of school had came. He was excited - he still didn't know how little they studied at school, at least for him. Of course, he tried not to show it much, just like his father often did, though anyone who looked at him could see it. Back then, it wasn't that easy to simply hide in himself.
Soon, the ceremony to the start of the year began. He would admit, everything was a bit loud and the music was weird but overall, he couldn't complain. At least, not till the end had came o the ceremony had came.
At one time, he did see Elisabeth talk to her brother, it seemed as if she was crying. Alberi didn't really understand - they were starting school, why would it be such a problem for her? Or perhaps it was that crying while happy he read about, it would make much more sense. Though she didn't really look happy. Then, she ran off into the school, while her brother simply shock her head at her.
Shrugging, he continued to walk around, growing a bit bored. After a while, he decided to go and search for her - it continued to bug him what was going on and he really just wanted to know what was between those two. So, he decided to go after her.
He noticed her crying in the hallway. Okay, that definitely wasn't sounding happy. Frowning, he went over to her, simply putting his arm around her neck. He saw that that was what his father did when his mother wasn't in a good mood. Elisabeth looked up at him for a while, thinking. After that, she smiled, looking happier than she has ever seen her. So maybe she was happy?
"Thank you... Alberi, right?" she simply said, than stood up and began to walk up the stairs. Alberi watched her go, curious, both to why she thanked him and why she went away. At the top of the stairs, she stopped and turned around. "Don't follow me. And... stay yourself." she said, then continued. Alberi stayed there for a while longer, before deciding to go back. If she didn't want him to follow, he wouldn't.
A while after he went outside, he heard gasps all around him, along with people looking towards the roof of the school. Looking up, he saw Elisabeth. What was she doing up there? Somewhere, he could hear her brother yelling for her to get down. Albeir chuckled a bit- it's not like she was stupid, she knew where to walk. Just as he thought that, she began to walk to the edge. What was she doing... If she continued, she would...
Alberi didn't learn what she meant until years later. But he did know that that was what made him himself now.
Without noticing it, Alberi has held his fists so hard that they were bleeding. Why, from all things, did those things have to be connected to death... Looking around, he saw some people were petting them... How could they pet them, he didn't know. Instead, he walked backwards, away from them, going as far to a tree and leaning on a tree, trying to forget about them. About everything. He just wanted to get out of here, now. |
