| The older Gryffindor was asking questions verging on controversial, but Jake had to remind himself that it was probably just him reading too much in to it in the first place. Perhaps. Teaching a topic so personal was hard to tell when people were just trying to make sense of things, and when they were trying to be rude.
But Felix had given a very good answer in return which meant the first year had been doing her reading, which made Jake very proud of her.
The moment the Ravenclaw piped up though, Rhys, Jake had to hold back from telling the boy he was wrong. Of course, everyone in the room was entitled to their opinion, and there was not a 'right' answer, hence their discussion. Finley, however, held the same opinion as Jake and a moment later the opposite side of the argument was given. Staying neutral, Jake waited for the last Ravenclaw to speak before smiling to the class as a whole.
"Okay everyone, as you can see, there is no solid opinion on how werewolves should be treated. There is no right answer here, so nobody is wrong. However, I will leave you with one solid thought that doesn't need answering, just for you all to think about." Jake explained, looking around the room to make sure everyone was listening. "If you were posed the same question, and you were a werewolf, would your answer differ?"
There was a pause.
"That is your homework, due next lesson. An essay on that question. Think about it, don't rush it, and explore as many ideas as you can. There will be house points to anyone who hands it in. But for now, that's all for class, you may all go." Jake told them, waving them off.
Class now closed.
