Victoria forced her husband back down in his seat.

"He's just stuck his tongue down my daughter's throat I'm-"

"They've been dating for years Jackson, and they've just won their first world championship!" Victoria tried to reason, shifting in to his lap to make it 'harder' for him to get back up. "And. They're engaged now!"

Jackson huffed, and Victoria turned in his lap, pressing a light kiss to his lips.

"Focus on how proud you are of our daughter. She's a world champion now!"

Jackson relented, a smile upon his face as he joined in the applause.

Next prompt: Cut out his tongue.

The man threw down his arms at Jacques' feet. The Frenchman's own weapon still remained trained upon his opponent.

"Please, I have children at home. I don't want to die."

Jacques' weapon remained at it's target.

"French, right? Uh... si'l vous plait..."

"I speak English." Jacques told the other man, making him relax a little.

"Then... please, let me go. I've surrendered. The ru-"

"The bullet went through the other man's skull and he flopped sideways on the ground. The last American that had 'surrendered' had come at Jacques with a knife.

He wasn't making the same mistake.

The Lord Clement moved to his heir, wrapping him in a proud embrace. Vanessa hesitated, looking into the young auror's eyes.

"Is this what you want, my love?"

"I only want... Your forgiveness, for taking so long to decide."

Victoria swiped an errant tear from her cheek, standing up on her feet as the rest of the crowd rose around them in applause.

"They have to have done it, mustn't they?" She asked her husband, looking up to the scoreboard nervously. The skate had been flawless, there was no way they could have missed out on the medals...

Jackson drew her in to his arms, as they both waited with baited breath.

The scores came slowly for dramatic effect.

"Harrington & Blake win first place with that performance!"

"THEY WON!"

Victoria pumped the air as Jackson lifted her in celebration.

"Is the cut okay?" The jeweller asked of his Lady Wife.

Mimosa's fingers ran across the diamonds that glimmered in the lighting before her dressing table's mirror. Eyes transfixed on the piece, she nodded slowly before looking up at him in the reflection.

"It's beautiful..." She breathed, and Jacques moved closer, bending down to press a kiss to her cheek as he took the piece in in the mirror.

"Not as beautiful as you, mon chouchou." He replied with a small smile.

There wouldn't be enough diamonds in the world to assuage his guilt, but this was only the beginning.

The kiss haunted his dreams most nights, each dream looked at the moment from over a decade and a half from a different angle. Reminding him of the relationship that could have been had he been brave enough to pursue the witch.

If he hadn't let Simon get to her first.

Each time the dream came to him, he'd wake in a pool of his own sweat.

He'd drag himself to the shower once his breathing had calmed.

And return not to his own bed, but to Annagramma's.

To ensure Simon could never, ever lay a hand on her again.
