100 Word Tag Drabble Challenge

"You're the Newbury's kid, right?"

Andrew let out a sigh, he couldn't go anywhere.

"Yeah..."

"Oh Merlin, I am the biggest fan of your mom's!"

"Yeah, dad was a-" The boy cut off, looking across at the girl quizzically. "My mom?"

"World renowned Herbologist, Azalea Harrington. She's your mom, right?"

Andrew looked more perplexed, before catching himself. "Sorry, I'm just more used to people here knowing my dad for his Quidditch success."

"That was such a long time ago, no-one really remembers him here anymore."

"Don't ever let him hear that." Andrew laughed, relaxing in to the conversation some.



Next prompt: I’ve never seen this man before.

The witch's hand stilled around him.

Her eyes locked with his, and slowly a smile spread across her lips as she caught the look of deep frustration in his eyes.

"I think that concludes your mid-year review, Professor Newbury."

Azalea might have suggested that this would be continued, but she should have known better.

They'd never been the kind to be able.to stop, and today would be no different as Jake caught Azalea at the waist, pressing her back against the desk. Pens scattered in their wake, Jake pressing himself between her legs until they both signed contently.

"I'm sure it's fine," Jackson assured his wife as they entered the little lakeside garage of their Milwaukee home. Almost fifty, the former leader of the free world was quickly growing bored of retirement.

"Are you sure, no one has looked in on it for a decade."

"She's tough," Jackson reassured her, reaching to lift the tarp from the little speed boat to find, as always, Victoria was right.

The boat had rusted and cracked in parts. Black tar was also leaking from it's engine to congeal on the floor.

"Now what?"

"Bucket and mop date?"

"I bought her flowers!"

"And I held her hand!"

"We even went dancing!"

"Ive... I can't tell if you're actually trying to make a joke based on a super old song, or whether you think girls still like the nineteen sixties kind of guy." Andrew replied, looking thoroughly confused with his older brother. Ivan did look miserable that his date hadn't gone well, but the younger Newbury doubted he'd actually managed to go on a date.

"Did you talk about work?"

"Of course!"

"Ding ding ding, there's your problem! You bored her to death, I've! We have work to do!"

"A-Azalea..."

The bright kitchen around her vanished, leaving her in a blank vacuum where no happiness, joy, no emotion could ever exist. Azalea felt her limbs freeze up, her back straighten, her thoughts turning stiff and unnatural as only that one voice rang throughout the space.

This was Joshua's domain, where he held power akin to a god. He could manipulate this space and all within it. But he had only ever been interested in one thing.

Horrified, Azalea realized she was no longer in her jeans. A soft silk negligee caressed her skin.

"Did you miss me?"

The two of them hurried around the corner, under the cover of the building above, Jacques gently guiding the witch around the corner and following close behind. The white shirt he'd been wearing clung to his chest, and the witch before him didn't fair any better as they laughed wholeheartedly at the situation.

"And here I was thinking only London got April showers!"

"You've clearly never been this close to the equator!"

Jacques couldn't help but smile in return, feeling the very similar draw he always felt around Azalea.

A pause grew.

"We'll... wait it out, then."

"It's a plan!"

"How does he look so calm?" Victoria asked her husband, her knuckles almost white as they grasped his hand tightly.

"Because, he's been doing this for years, and his mom does all the worrying for hi-"

The whistle echoed shrilly through the indoor pool, and Holden had beaten the rest of the swimmers in to the pool.

"GO ON, HOLDEN!" Victoria willed him on not-so-subtly from the side line, willing him towards the other end of the pool in front of all the other boys in the opposing schools.

"GO ON, SON!" Jackson chimed in, getting to his own feet.
