"Insist?"

"Well, I should have said suggest-"

"I have a suggestion for you. And it's to leave me fucking be." Jacques spat, pulling his arm away from the security detail officer who was just trying to do his job. The scotch in the glass in the same hand left it's holder, splashing the heir's shirt. Another time he might have noticed.

But not tonight.

Tonight, nothing in the world mattered anymore, because the woman he'd loved all too fiercely, had just as fiercely slammed the door in his face.

"No, Papa, you have to do it this way!"

Lissette twirled in a circle, stopped, clapped, then repeated. Jacques followed behind his daughter, trying to get it right, but not quite getting the timing right. Lissette let out a frustrated sigh, and switched off her phone from the recording she was making. "I'm going to find Thomas, he knows how to do these things better!"

Jacques let out a soft laugh, sweeping his daughter up in his arms and tickling her sides gently. "You're entirely too cheeky, madamoiselle!" He joked, joyful laughter filling the room from the two of them.

"The fuck, Alex?"

"Anna... it's not a sleepover..."

"Of course it is, you two are in bed!"

The witch sat on the bed, between the couple. Alex let out a resigned sigh at the situation. His date, however, was muttering in French about the weirdness of the situation, moving out the other side of the bed to grab her clothes. The last Alex would see of that witch was the almost exquisitely perfect backside.

"I guess it's just you and me!" Anna said happily.

"Something wrong?" Anna asked, making the man look up.

"British tabloids aren't happy."

"Why?"

Alex looked up from his phone that had been looking through the news. "They don't think that Jacques is worth his stay in their country."

"Well, is he?"

Alex smiled to himself at that, lifting the coffee cup up to his lips. No answer came, but the man's loyalty would be clear. No matter what anyone else in the world thought of the Clements, he would back them, because at a time where he had nothing, and no one, they had stood by him fiercely.

Brown eyes flared in anger as Josie stormed passed the man in the hallway, angrily flicking her wand and collecting his things into a bag that she chucked at him, watching in sick satisfaction as the bag slammed into him. "Get out. You clearly seem to think that I don't see what you're doing. Which, newsflash asshole, I do." She flicked her wand at the door. "Out. And don't come back." As soon as he was out the door, she slammed the door in his face. "Bastard."
