"Come on Josie! Help me here!" Laura whined to her as she collapsed over Josie's couch, the ginger-haired woman staring drolly at Laura as she sipped her tea, absently petting her dog as she had been doing for the past hour while she listened to Laura whine about her husband.

"I keep telling you to divorce him, clearly you are unhappy." And, just like always, not that Josie was expecting anything else, the horror on Laura's face spoke a lot about that before she started up her rant again. "Never mind then." Why does she bother?

"I remember when you were a little girl, the only thing you wanted to do was watch just five more minutes of a Quidditch match." Her mother laughed over the phone as Josie sat curled on her couch. "Even with your nine o'clock bedtime... I seem to recall your father was just as bad. I could never separate the two of you when it came to Quidditch."

"Stop it, Mom!" Josie groaned in embarrassment, her cheeks flaming, her mother's laughter a balm on her soul. I miss you Mom...

"It's alright, these things take a while to work through the sys-"

Jacques gently rubbed his daughter's back as she vomited violently once more. The staff stood by the door, loitering uncertainly.

"Papa, I want Thomas." Lissette insisted.

"Thomas is in bed, sleeping."

"But he'll look after me-"

The witch bent forward again, and Jacques did his best to soothe her.

It was never one child who became sick, Jacques had learned. When one went down, all of them went down together, a wave of sickness hitting the Palace.

"I'm here, I'll look after you."

Outside, Azalea was indeed doing that, in her own style. The witch stood perfectly balanced on her tiptoes, on top of the fence. Her arms reached out towards the sky, directing her vines to where the lights needed to go. The tendrils shot out from various parts of her palm and fingers, looping over her head like circling whips and striking fast to attach the lights. She would be done in five minutes.

"Daddy has to go," Jake mumbled, heading out.

"The kids enjoyed today!" Jackson chimed happily pulling the Santa beard from his face as he sat down.

"They're not the only ones!" Victoria replied cryptically, moving to her husband's lap. Her initial thought had been to straddle the man's lap, but the swollen bump of her stomach meant sideways would have to do. "I always did prefer you with a beard, though... preferably not so white any time soon."

Jackson did not need prompting for a second time as he drew his wife closer, the kiss leaving no reason to disbelieve the age old song of the Christmas holidays.

"There's nothing wrong with you at all."

"So... Sick..."

"Want to have sex?"

"Well, if you're offering!"

"Andrew, you're the worst! Get dressed, we're going to meet my mother, whether you like it or not!"

"Ooo, she's your mother now?"

"Get out of bed."

"But, you just said we can have sex, I'm correctly situated!"

"You're such a pig."

"Yeah, but you wouldn't have me any other way!"

The grumbles grew quieter as his girlfriend left the room and. Andrew only chuckled to himself, rolling out of bed to shower.
