Background
Sebastian was born to two very loving parents in the summer of 1999. He was raised in the beautiful city of Venice, and was a content child. It was at the age of six that his magic appeared, an accident caused a rather large hole to appear in the base of a gondola that was passing, causing it to sink rather quickly. He'd been in a temper for a reason he could not remember, and the confusion it had caused the Muggles was something his mother had spent a long time covering up.

No one was hurt, of course.

It was a year later that Sebastian lost his father. At the age of seven he was left to be the man of the house in his father's place, and he looked after his mother the best he could. By the time he was eleven, Sebastian had worked out a routine to make sure everything had been done for his mum for the day, so when his letter came for the Italian school of magic, he'd been reluctant to leave.

But he had, and his first five years had been amazing, he missed his mum a lot, but he wrote often.

The bad news came in the end of his fourth year, however, that the school would be closing. Sebastian was to be transferred. To Hogwarts.

Family Background
Leonardo and Julietta had known each other since they were children. They were childhood sweethearts and knew that they would marry as soon as they were old enough. And, of course, they did. After finishing magic school in Italy, they settled down in their home in Venice and took to the tourist trade, selling anything the tourists would take.

They tried for children for many years, with no success. They had almost given up when the announcement of the baby had come. Overjoyed as they were, they knew it was going to be hard to make ends meet.

However, before they could fully appreciate their son growing in to a man, Leonardo was taken from the world, due to an illness they had kept from Sebastian for many years. But, Leonardo had died happy, knowing his son could step up and take his place.
